Same with the attackers. Too much inexperience in the forward line. If we don’t address this, we won’t score enough goals and continue suffering.

Even if he had used his best 11 it's likely we would have still lost going by his record. We have one win in our last 7 league games and that was against a relegated Leicester.

I watched both games. Arsenal had more shots, possession, corners, touches in our box, higher xG, same number of big chances.

Real Sociedad had more possession, same amount of shots, 2 big chances to our zero, more corners, higher xG etc

This squad is not a title winning squad and likely not even a top 4 squad, but they should not be just above relegation.

It is not just about not scoring. We have conceded more than Everton, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Bournemouth etc.

The squad is not good enough for our aspirations, but Amorim has also underperformed with what he has been given. This is the crux of my push back on the great players and good managers campaigner. The most likely reason for 10 years of almost continuous struggles is that we have signed mediocre coaches to accompany mediocre players.

The only reason Amorim might get a reprieve is that he came in mid-season. Next season such an excuse will not exist. With the benefit of a full pre-season, he has to demonstrate that he can coach and that he can improve players.

All these narratives doesn't prove Amorim is a good coach.lrrespective of time given red card can change dynamics of a game. Second leg match of Lyon was a typical example. Do you think lf not for the red card those dying minutes goals would v been scored?. l DNT think so.

Chido Obi at 17 is a wonderful prospect, but is not ready yet for EpL games starting. He needs to continue with the youth team and eventually go on a loan to develop more skillsz. but I was told that he is better than Hojlund. As bad as Hojlund is Obi is no where near.

We need at least 5 quality players in a number of positions including the GK. then we will be fine. The academy players should be gradually ease in or loaned out.

I didn't write them off, I said they should continue with their development, there was never any time I was in favour throwing youngsters into the deep end to avoid them being affected psychologically. I am in favour of giving them chance in dead rubber games, but they should form the fabric of the squad
