vaxx:Excess crude is not a savings , it's not even constitutional. It was a circumstantial created to accommodate excess revenue from crude oil sales. As at 2015, it was just $2 Billion although in 2011, it was $20 Billion but Nigeria has other saving s ie NSIA. |

GeneralDae:it is like you lack comprehension or you just want to talk cus I do not relate excess crude Into any of the above you typed up there. I said Excess crude is simply the money created as a sovereign wealth, which is purposely allocated for future events . Just like how the money gotten from it was used for security purpose etc. Though it is a redundancy ideology because it is serving the same purpose as NSIA.. It would have be a sort of relief if it is enough to cushion the effect of dollar on naira performance. If your govt are struggling to maintain the excess wealth gotten from oil revenue, what give you clues that your govt will be able to manage the main income. In Ghana we called it mineral sovereign wealth, nearly every nation has something similar. |

vaxx:Yet you're borrowing maize and rice from ecowas ECOWAS demands repayment of 27,000 tons of food aid from Ghana April 15, 2025 By: Deborah Pofara Luu The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has called on Ghana to return 27,000 tons of maize and rice borrowed in 2018 to address earlier food security challenges. The demand was revealed by Ghana’s Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, during the launch of the government’s Feed Ghana Programme on April 12, 2025 The Minister for Food and Agriculture disclosed that ECOWAS leaders recently visited his office to request the repayment of the food stocks. “They said Ghana owes them rice and maize of about 27,000 tons, which we borrowed in 2018, and that they are asking that we refund it,” he said. 1 Like |

The Dangote Group is set to construct a sugar refinery in Kwame Danso, in the Bono Region. The facility will boast a daily cane crushing capacity of 12,000 tons and will irrigation across 25,000 hectares. The refinery is anticipated to produce sugar, molasses, and ethanol. @vaxx, @Just40. GeneralDae:good investment for Dangote foresight. 100 cedis is now 12 thousand naira and 10,000 cedis is now 1.2 million naira. There is a whole of money to recoup back home for Dangote and a good job opportunity for Ghanaian youth. A win win for both countries. |

vaxx:Naira is 1590/1600 to USD. It was 1500/1530 for about 3 months until Donald Trump’s tariff issues early April which spiked our Eurobond yields from about 9 to 13% due to investors fear of low oil prices. The continuous low oil prices as well means our Central Bank may try to maintain at 1600 levels for a while. Ghana on the other hand, is under an IMF program and free from a lot of foreign debt servicing (for now until 2027) which gives you a chance to boost your reserves and strengthen your currency but I don’t know what’s happening. |
