All these things OP is saying is rubbish, he's just trying to mix things up. No one is asking for pay per view,na strip club we dey? This only works in live sports events you go to watch, what happens during pay per view and electricity is interrupted? can i still get my refund since twasnt properly utilised? We want our bouquet plan to be on view per sec,in a situation whereby we're allocated with enough time per month, which could be 300hrs or 500hrs, its now left for us to utilise it properly till month end, atleast every moment electricity is interrupted or we re not available we won't feel cheated that our subscription is ongoing while idle. |

AnonPoet: But we have been told that DStv offers a form of PPV in south Africa.... Is that also false. Also that DSTV subs are significantly cheaper there. |

1. DSTV has introduced pay per week in Kenya and Uganda...you pay for a week, and then you can renew when you want...so that may be an option for the market 2. DSTV cannot do pay as you watch for Nigeria...simply because it would in essence be difficult for them to maintain it financially....and the tech does not exist in Nigeria. 3. At the end, DSTV Is a company, and the content it sells is expensive. It is like Nigerians want it cheap or something. |

ericmor: It must not be MTN. Google for Fibre Optics Internet to see if there's any one in your city. |

Multichoice is literally helping Nigerians save money. They absorb insane sport right fees so you can watch content at a fraction of PPV cost. The alternative? Spending triple on just a few matches.

Maybe we cannot afford pay-per-view. Maybe we are not even ready for this conversation. My own is that they should not leave because even if I don;t watch anything else, the sports is enough for me. I've checked online and they have the best sport package at the price point and that superspor is still the best.

Xxtweakxx: I know of fiber, I was only referring to your message that reads MTN fibre |
Xxtweakxx: 1:27pm On Apr 30 |
ericmor: Yes, the monthly sub for Fibre Optics on MTN is way cheaper and truly unlimited with no FUP.

Hmm, I just thought of a pay-per-channel model. Meaning, there would be a singular cost for every channel instead of them coming in packages. Thus, viewers can add only the channels they desire, or watch, and reduce overall cost. This might be a good solution since most dstv s only watch a handful of the channels on their package selection. The only potential problem I can see on the side of this model is DSTV charging a very high rate for their most watched channels (supersport, etc.) compared to other channels that aren't viewed a lot. 1 Like |

ConscienceFM: 5:32pm On Apr 30 |
IBvoss: But this pricing model is clearly what would work. Because all the top channels, as stand alone, would cost more. I imagine it would be a similar cost to what others pay abroad for the same football content - Between $22 to $40 monthly for some (not all) the football we already have. |
GEJDHERO: 5:35pm On Apr 30 |
Mckandre:u are confused |
ConscienceFM: 5:37pm On Apr 30 |
Love800:Omo!!! I no wan reason am. It's because many Nigerians steal the content from different illegal links and sites, so we don't know the value of the content. Thief no send original price of iPhone. That's why it is hard to appreciate dstv. |
ConscienceFM: 5:38pm On Apr 30 |
Mamayam: IPTV that is illegal. We now use that to judge the price of legal content? Phone sold in traffic doesn't tell the real price of that model of the phone. illegal is always cheaper. |
