Nigeria Begins Payment Of Wage Award Arrears To Federal Workers (251 Views)

ABUJA, April 29 (AGCNewsNet) — The Federal Government of Nigeria has commenced the payment of outstanding wage award arrears totaling N175,000 to federal workers, according to a statement from the Office of the ant General of the Federation (OAGF) released Tuesday in Abuja.

Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations at the OAGF, said the arrears, representing five months of the N35,000 monthly wage award, would be paid in monthly instalments following the April 2025 salary disbursement.

“The wage award arrears would not be paid with the April 2025 salary,” the statement clarified. “It will come immediately after the salary is paid.”
