bayelsaowei: What is wrong with this geographical area called Nigeria? The area is very normal. If anything is abnormal then it must be all of us, 200 million Nigerians who are incredibly selfish super mumus but think we are superbly intelligent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMWUS1W_ITc?si=Wcv7Bxs_3fYaKjI- 1 Like 2 Shares |

So sad. The operation was supposed to be done using Generator in the first place since the hospital is not enjoying priority power supply. RIP to the dead. |

Nigerians sucking each other's blood like zobo. Tufia! Nigerians are wicked. The doctors did not even care to make sure everything is in order before proceeding. Nigerian doctors are one of the wickedest occultists on earth, nurses nko? Witches and wizards. Evil people. You leave hospital nkọ? Drivers are wicked, sales people, wicked, workers are wicked, employers wicked, pastors and imams wicked. Yet they all point at only Tinubu as the problem of Nigeria.

bluebay: The only function of what is known as government is to: Organise Society. Organization means the aggregation of resources and the effective deployment to further the people and their interests. The function of government is thus to move resources from the point of generation or the point of abundance to the point of consumption or the point o relative scarcity. If it cannot perform these functions then government is useless to the citizens of any country. Though the people bear responsibility for appointing leaders and the installing governments, the government bears direct responsibility for the condition of the people aka the standard of living and the quality of life. |

yomi007k: Are you okay? So if they can't provide safe environment for the surgery, why not ask the patient to go to a more equiped one? Are you making excuses for their wickedness. What ever they showed you was padded. Can that woman swear in front of a holy altar that she never kept some or other staff never stole out of the so money the hospital spent? |
nedekid: 7:52pm On Apr 27 |
yinkus6750:So doctor will go and check if petrol is inside generator before carrying out surgery? Is that normal to you? In a general hospital? |
Are you sure this man didn't vote for this government? Because the mismanagement in every hospital can be traced to the mismanagement of the country where the incompetence oozing from to top is ing through the health ministry to each hospital. Total corruption kills. This is a case of how we are as a people. It is not everything, at everytime we should blame the government. Naturally, the husband and the doctors are to be blame here. We all know the situation around the country. How could anyone anywhere get into surgery in an hospital without the necessary assessment of power supply back up? No fuel, yes. What does it cost to get fuel into the hospital generator? What happens to the doctor who is leading the operation, that could not help arrange for power back up before starting to operate on human being? The husband of the lady is also very naive to have not asked questions about power back up before the session started. We will need to change our thinking as people before we can go forward as a nation. |

nedekid: Very normal for the leading doctor to consider and confirm the power supply and the possible back up before the commencement of the surgery. Big negligence from all that were concerned about the whole matter. Both the family of the late woman and the hospital managers |

I've seen some people blaming president Tinubu for this failure of a complete system. To an extent, it's is true because the buck stops at his table! But why do we like to heap every blame on the government? Are we saying Tinubu should have come to that hospital from the Villa to tell them to always ensure proper power backup whenever critical activity such as surgery is to take place? What happens to rules and procedures? What is the role of the CMD? The hospital has internal auditor and all of them get paid at the end of the month but the very little things they're supposed to do, they will not do! The hospital management and the incompetent doctors entering the theater without ensuring every box is ticked killed that woman and they should all be investigated and sanctioned appropriately if found culpable. Who does that? What exactly is the value of human lives to them in that hospital that they would take such risk that places human life on the line? Besides, the hospital is not running charity and whatever income they generate, I think the ones that save human lives (for which they exist) should be taken care of first before any other expenses. Na wa o! |

No! You can't even blame the husband. If you go to board an aircraft at the airport, do you start asking the pilot if he has enough fuel that would take you to your destination? Doctors who intended to carry out surgical operation just entered the theater and opened up somebody without thinking of making preparations for the surgery? You just would not understand and I don't pray the situation ever repeats itself. Even the operations that had everything in place and were successful are always ed with fervent prayers and anxiety from the relatives of the patient. If you have ever had to take a close relative to the hospital for a surgery, you would understand exactly what I'm talking about. God will help us in this country. |

🌺 Upon all the money they get from their patients they can't buy solar power and stop depending on nepa Both the hospital and nepa are useless |
nedekid: 8:26pm On Apr 27 |
gotnel:Eg you go to lasuth ikeja or luth, general hospitals, you then go and look for the generator house to confirm if there is diesel in the generator before surgery? Ok, assuming there is no diesel, can the patient or doctor cough out eg 500 liters (530k) of diesel to power the eg 350kva generator for 8hrs while the surgery takes place? Truth if the matter is that this gov has failed to the extent nothing makes sense. No gov hospital can afford to power a generator, abi don't you know the cost of diesel? Even nepa bill most gov hospitals cannot afford, UCH Ibadan did not have light for 3 months, not to talk of one general hospital somewhere in the north. A whole presidency last week budgeted 10b to install solar power for Aso rock. If aso rock has difficulties running gen and needs solar who will blame a gov hospital for not having diesel in gen? Any sensible, responsible government would have spent that 10b providing solar for 20 general hospitals @500m each. 1 Like |
