dollarnaira: It the same. Standard li-ion 24v is 7s, that's 3v per cell cut off( 3v *7cells is 21v ). While standard li-ion 12 is 3s, being 3v per cell cut off ( 3v *3cells is 9v ) 1 Like |

dollarnaira: Nice nice, waiting for the capacity results.. I know that the tetra guy sells good cell, but my fingers crossed with 3.2Ah, 3.6v on a 18650 size. Awaiting your result update. ![]() |

dollarnaira:nice 1, that's around 2800mah per cell |
dollarnaira: 8:02am On Apr 26 |
Penuelseun:Yes roughly. Freezer ran for about 8hrs, completed with powerbank charging till it gets to 8hrs 33mins. Really great for a 24p3s. 2 Likes |

dollarnaira:Would you recommend your current cells over lifepo4 for powering entire house and a sumo? I don't mean as powerbank. Mine is 644 pieces of 18650 batteries. 92P7S. But it seems I bought fake 18650. |
dollarnaira: 4:12pm On Apr 26 |
Intellab: NO. The cash used will comfortably buy 4 brand new lifepo4 of good size. 644 pieces is huge but maintenance will be very hard if nickel strip is used to weld. Extracted 18650 will be far better than so called new ones. Brand new 18650 don't come cheap. LG and Samsung 26J are great despite being extracted. 2 Likes |

dollarnaira: Nice. Well done Boss! How much did the setup cost you? If possible a break down of the materials used will go a long way. Thanks in anticipation. |

dollarnaira:Seriously, you’d did a great work. How about BMS, can you share an image? And also how you were able to connect the charging and output port for it. Please just take your time, I’m really interested . I stay around Ikeja and I can get those cells easily I believe. |

dollarnaira:My bad, I don’t know what a balancer is 🥲 I’ve only seen people use BMS in all the videos I’ve seen. Could you kindly share a pics or something. Thanks. |

Queed: Though they look the same trust me 24v is far better and it will save your wire. e. g if your appliance is 350w and you connect it to your 12v battery it mean you will need to draw 29Amp from the battery but if you connect the same appliance to 24v you will only draw 14Amp. Sincerely I don't know why people build 12 battery the 12v battery I build are just for phone charging and bulb lightning only Although if you started with 12v it will be hard to change inverter, I wish I even started with 48v, it will not give your wire much stress 2 Likes |
barezy(m): 12:37am On Apr 28 |
dollarnaira: Please try and add BMS although your battery will work without the BMS but trust me a day might come that shit may happened, it's the BMS that will rescue you, all balancer don't regulate charging, if your charger misbehave or you mistakenly set wrong setting it's BMS that will save you not balancer. Don't go for the cheapest, go for the moderate price or try those smart BMS |

barezy: The assumption of your 12v ideology is 1million percent super wrong ![]() Retract the part that says "I don't know why people build 12v system"...... If you build a 12v system wrongly, you don't need to generalize it. Can you state the difference between 50ah at 24v and 100ah at 12v? Just last night I deliberately drew 18.7a on the system above-- 6 bulbs, freezer, 2 fans, charging, 32" tv, Decoder--- cable didn't even get warm. Note: Most cars use 12v battery including Rechargable fans Solar kits Bikes Why do phone chargers get hot converting 220v to a very small 5v? Why do car tyres and engines get hot after driving ? An ordinary powerbank of 5v is enough to light up and charge phones.. E b like say you hit my kidney this morning. ![]() NOTE: 24v is great, 48v is very sweet but don't condemn a working 12v system since our energy need differs and the way we all manage energy differs. Those is band A will manage energy better than band D s. Mind you am on 12v off-grid. 3 Likes |

barezy: What is inside the bms that regulate charging? Do you depend on the bms to regulate your charging for you? Like using a charger of 15 - 20v and depend on the bms to regulate the charging? I don't do any of the above? But the above is mostly what guys do on YouTube where most of you depend on. Again, I don't depend on YouTube because most of them copy and paste another person's idea. The cycle continues.... |
barezy(m): 10:10am On Apr 28 |
dollarnaira: You get me wrong, am not condemning 12v after all you your self said 24v is great and 48v is sweet, that's the same thing am saying why not go for great and leave 12v for small appliances. I believe you know that most people are upgrading to 24v or even 48v, and charging is not easy you will need to change almost everything from charger to inverter, that's why am saying it's better to start with great as you said 😉 1 Like |

dollarnaira: you can't tell me you've not make a mistake in this DIY stuff before, am not saying BMS is perfect but is a sort of protection layer just in case the mistake comes, even the charger you're using can malfunction and supply higher voltage, although it's not a must but is a matter of choice, trust me it's a good choice for someone that use a better BMS |
