Snippet from a 3D animation movie we are currently working on.

Can't post much yet but perhaps when it's done, I will be able to post the entire length of the one hour 3d animation.

This project happens to be a web series of about 1 hour I think (Lost count cos it's in tiny tiny parts averaging 4 minutes).

If you're a 3D animator and you are not using mocap or don't plan to, the job is already difficult x1000 and you're making life difficult for yourself. The body mocap data (in fact the face mocap data too) here was used raw and I never cleaned it. Only wanted to show how realistic and easy it makes animating easy x10000000000. Lol.

Well, it's been almost a year I start mocap. And it's been an awesome journey of learning filmmaking (Directing most especially).

Well for the body gear, you may want to check online for the price o. Check price for Perception Neuron 2.0. For the head rig, it cost me around 210k. 200k for the iPhone XR and 10k for the rest of the materials.

What is so special about the iphone xr, I use a high-end android phone, but if the iphone has an edge over android I don't mind selling mine and getting an iphone, I'm crazy over 3D animation too, getting a gaming system by November specifically for it and it costs a fortune.

The iPhone starting from iPhone X has depth camera which is perfect for mocap generally. It's like the cameras on the Xbox Kinect. That's what's special

Pardon my many questions, are you saying if I have the Kinect, no need for iphone cam? Because I heard I can use Kinect with iclone for mocap.

I got my laptop yesterday- corei7 9th gen, 16gb ram, 6gb nvidia 1660Ti, 500gb ssd ,+ 1TB hdd. I have ed maya, Adobe photoshop, illustrator. I got huion graphics tablets. ed tutorials from udemy and YouTube.. and all I need now is a mentor. I hope you can provide that . I will follow your posts and threads back to back. Please, share your challenges so far.

Wrong. The iPhone is used for face mocap in iclone. The Kinect for body mocap. Search ipisoft on google. It's a software that uses the Kinect or ps3 camera.
