1. Trending names
2. SEO Names(C, BL & SV)
3. Brandable Names(QUALITATIVE). They carry a certain aura, tonation, synergy or swag. (They may not be taken in any ext.)
4. Upgrade names(Names with an active business already) taken in one or more extensions
5. Names whose phrases appear on several page of Google. They may not have exts taken e.g. emailwarmups dot com
6. Alts names( names that the dotcom is taken but another strong alt dropped. .i.e co, .io, etc
7. Gtlds..names where the sld matches with the tlds i.e. Venture.Capital, Odds.Bet, Fight.Club etc
8. Keywords domainers( some domainers anywhere they see lab, labs, chain, pay they die there).

I may have forgotten some. In all the list--these categories listed have certain STR by number of domains/yr before renewal no one will tell you. There isn't a perfect method fit all.

So after you hand has strong in ED, you hunt your names taken advantage of the various methods by filtering your ED & Keywords to laser target the option you want from the noise.

You can then use those options to look for pending delete(to backorder), auctions, closeouts, namecheap, Dynadot etc from all domain market places.


As for coining names, mostly is for geo domainers, trending handregs domainers and Brandable domainers(Atom, BrandBucket).

Go search for beckplanet post on this thread to learn more on Brandables and check the type of names on atom and BrandBucket..you can coin those names or use ED filters of certain keywords to reg names for cheap Handregs..targeting promos like currently running on unstoppable domains for 5 dollars...if u can reg upto a 1000 quality ones for 5000k USD--depending on the STR, like 2 to 3 domain sale per month...for 1xxx to 4xxx usd. U can also wholesale them for liquidation for 50 or less to regain your investment.

Depending on the path you choose lots of info out there and great mentors to learn from their post on Namepros, here on NL and X.

More importantly every tld have their rules. What works for dotcom may not work for org, co, io etc. So if U want to venture into alts, ensure you know what works for it.
