Burn-out is something people don't take seriously in Nigeria and Africa.. she is free to return home and heal from the mental and emotional stress she is ing through over there.

That's because we have social life here, so it is not one of our major headaches

She came to look for husband or baby girl lifestyle all this one na wash. Alot of 9ja babes abroad believe they should not be working and just be enjoying life.

A mother of two who moved from Canada to Nigeria recently and did a relocation video too. I saw her post on instablog last week. Just give this one time she go run back.
Her reason is her reason and that's what we choose to believe. But you can wail anyway

It's a good decision.

Life is too short to be wasting away in US or Europe because of foreign currency.

See how the thing sweet for your mouth.
You did not even talk about struggling to buy high cost of flour for the snacks plus tax, levies from agberos(revenue collectors). If you are not willfully strong and motivated, you will run away from the business eventually!
Redman44:

There is a kind of freedom you have when you return to Nigeria from the western world. Forget about almighty dollars and pounds Sterling or Euros. Yes, Nigeria has lots of issues and bad leaders. However, things are also happening here. If you have the right information on your finger tips, you can make a lot of money in Nigeria. Nigeria is changing rapidly when it comes to the way houses are built these days. All kinds of beautiful houses springing up everywhere. New Supermarket chains are springing up. If you can make snacks, people will patronize you. The market is there for any business idea you have. Naira is bad, but na Nigeria you go spend am .

If you are not lazy, you can do some farming of vegetables and fruits and locate your customers. Oranges, bananas , pine apple, grapes are getting expensive . You can come from abroad, buy land and cultivate these fruits. No slacking. This lady knows what she wants to achieve. Make una leave her o. Internet is there for research and getting things across borders. I rest my case.

So the gender equality fight na scam las las? How many Nigerian men are financially comfortable to provide the baby girl lifestyle they want alongside the abroad standard of living?

As for the woman who moved to Nigeria, I'm not surprised she spends more in Nigeria than in Canada. It costs a lot to replicate a developed world standard of living in Nigeria. I'm not talking about roads or general behaviour, just normal amenities and having them to work 24/7.

This japada thing go give most people depression and annoyance.
A lot of Nigerian men can provide baby girl lifestyle oo,na them don spoil these kids finish .
Entitlement everywhere.

Truth is, over there, there's no competition for Dorime and show off. But here, you will see people that will envy your little success and makes you feel like you've achieved something.

I felt the same way when I was in the UK too. You can't buga anybody there. If you like drive Lamborghini...nobody trip extremely for you.
This is bullshit,
People trip for success all over, however what you'd tell me is no one will fall for basic things over there like they do here.
Even get mind call lamborghini lol😂

While that's true and I'm happy you agreed na men cause am. These abroad women come with the belief that they should be the only ones who should enjoy the man's money. They complain about patriarchy but keep mute when they benefit from it.

Unfortunately for them, there are little to no consequences for a man who has relationships with many women in Nigeria. So for those who seek marriage, they should be expected to share the men with other women.

What u folks don't understand is, NO PLACE IS HEAVEN!! After a while people become TIRED of wherever they may be, depending on their own particular circumstances. Same way you're just TIRED of Nigeria, others are also just as tired of wherever they may be and can't take it any longer.
Doesn't mean it won't do you good to go to that same place yourself!

I am not gaslighting, sugarcoating or ing the leadership.
My point is clear and simple. In the midst of the darkness, downturn and everything else anyone may say, there are still opportunties that abound. I doubt if anyone will argue about that. Neither am I saying that the minimum wage can take any worker home .
I stand in of the comment I responded to and will recommend you read it again.
you are not sugar coating, then you are doing what?

Are you not one of the ers of this useless government In power?

So the millions of people crying because their lives have gone on a downward spiral in such a short time are doing so because they hate Nigeria?

You and your likes on this forum are sick upstairs.

I don’t know what is wrong with most of this Nigerians abroad….Normally you went over there to work n when you have worked for some years the ideal thing to do is to come back home n invest but you guys always sound ungrateful n try to discourage those that wanna leave this country for greener pastures just like you did!!!
You would try to discourage dem that it’s just work work work over there in abroad,so why traveling out at the first place or ur arm was to travel without focus!
If you have worked ur ass out dere with a very good savings n want to come back home just quietly cum back n don’t run ur mouth like u where under duress when u were about traveling out!

She'll be fine in Nigeria.. mixing with family and friends, social life, work-life balance etc. will help her a lot.
If only the Government will take security as priority.. Nigerians don't have reason to live abroad.

Nigerians should know that not everyone feels the same way they feel, for you that's in Nigeria, your dream is to japa but someone else over there her dream is to Japada. Both desires are ok. Everyone has their genuine reasons.
Abroad life doesn't favor everyone, people are different, mental health is key. There are people in Nigeria who are making it and won't consider relocating abroad and there others still struggling who feels entering abroad will solve all their problems
Do what works for you and allow others do what works for them.
My sister you are welcome back home, Nigeria is not what we want it to be at the moment but there are still millions of people doing great here financially and economically.

She didn't discourage anyone from coming to the abroad, she only made a video of her Intention to return. So start packing and head straight to the airport, no one is stopping you bro.

Nevertheless, I can understand why she wants to live in Nigeria for the mental wellbeing. It's tough to live in a different environment where your type (culturally and racially) aren't what you were bred with.

Na even United States she bin dey. Wetin others wey dey Northern Europe or China go talk? Na so one girl from Botswana leave Japan in less than a year back to her country. When I asked why: she said she cannot cope. However, her Ghanaian friend still dey gidigba. West Africans and migration grin grin
dat Japan is an isolation camp on earth for migrants. A friend of mine is complaining bitterly. Japanese are racist who don't have your time.

If he speaks Japanese, they will have his time. Does he speak Japanese? What kind of job does he do?

P.S. The talk about racism is tiring. Nigerians are crude tribalists. Humans are generally tribal in nature.

There is a major difference between being burnt out in a place where the majority don't look like what you grew up with. One of the reasons Nigerians tend to congregate in certain areas in the US.

It's far better to relocate on ur own than to allow trump to deport you to avoid losing your right to return back. He who lives and run away, stay alive to live another day.

Lol... What they never tell you is that they are relocating back to Nigeria with a Blue port which they can always use to fly back or to any other nation at the slightest chance or need.

I know at least 6 of such people talking about relocating back to Nigeria...!

It is not difficult to understand why they would want to do that... I mean, who wouldn't?!!

With what they have saved up, they can actually live comfortably anywhere in Nigeria without stress.

Most of the Nigerians they left behind to move abroad years ago can't afford to live such lives in the same country.

It's okay to come back to Naija for the sake of familiarity and native comforts, but can we stop pretending that this nation became better after you left?!! Or that you are not returning far better than when you left.

Generally speaking all nations are on a decline and as someone said the world is on a tipping edge. It's expected to return better so that you can make your contribution to the country. Such individuals should be commended rather than the unnecessary arguments we always put forward in our defense of their relocation. Many returnees have made tremendous impact on the economy of the country.

You are either deliberately missing my point or unable to see and process it.

I have never had anything against coming back to invest or enjoy one's country, and I didn't imply that.

My issue is with the hypocrisy or pretense of acting like you never achieved or gained anything from relocating abroad in the first place... Which for most of these returnees, is quite far from the truth.

A lot of them try to diminish the gains of living and working abroad which is unfair to those nations that gave them the opportunities for bettering their lives.

Everyone can do what he or she desires without throwing shades at either sides (Nigeria or other nations).

It's quite simple!

...And by the way, there is a general economic decline globally, but let's not go there!.

Nigeria has been declining steadily for over a decade now in almost every sector.

Okay... I don't disagree totally with you about opportunities in Nigeria.

But, where are there no opportunities?!! Even in Syria and Ukraine, there are still wealth making opportunities.

But, it will take serious wealth and influence to harness or even access them fully.

Well, we are all correct anyway.

Happy weekend!

Being outside the country gives you the opportunity to reflect and stratigize. You have a higher chance of being successful. To be successful in any business enviroment, you need to understand the business enviroment/market and have a comparative advantage. It's one of the reasons while I also failed in my businesses.

For wealth and influence that's a misconception and a mental inhibition that prevents many from going into the business space. The success of any business is not dependent on the startup capital. One of the major issue is that many Nigerians are not interested in consulting professional services. The believe is that one can always wiggle their way through the business landscape.

If that is your point, I'll have to agree with you. Being outside the country gives you the opportunity to reflect and strategize. You have a higher chance of being successful in business when you've lived outside the country. It's one of the reasons while I encourage others to travel because it's gives you a bird's eye view of the world.
