I booked for an appointment since February and the portal is showing that I am on a waiting list that will take approximately I year. Meanwhile, I have already been enrolled into the university. What do I do please?

I used “die techniker”, it wasn’t easy tho.
I have a friend in which I used his house address as my residential address. They sent all the necessary insurance documents to his apartment via post and then to my school, electronically.

Monthly insurance cost £85 for die techniker, I did for long term(6 months). I’d be paying the total sum of the money by the end of the 6 months, with some extra charges for choosing the long term option.

Are you on scholarship or you’re in category A?
Ideally, before the new application portal, cat B takes more than a year. It’s only people in cat A that get AD early.

NGA isn't part if the port number. That's the country code.

It starts with a Letter. If you only inputted the numbers without the letter, you would have waited for nothing. They won't allow you go inside

Guys, I need help and advice. I'm currently in a serious predicament. I recently went for my visa interview and I was turned back at the gate reason being that that I omitted the letter on my port. (For instance, my port number is A123456, I only included the 123456, omitting the letter during my registration). It's been almost two years since I applied and it didn't occur to me honestly.

I'm losing my mind right now. Please what would you advise? I have written countless sympathetic emails to the embassy already but no reply yet 😭😭

Sorry to hear about your case. Unfortunately, they have a strict warning, and this is likened to the strict measures they implemented going with incomplete documents. Your best bet is to keep sending them emails every Monday until they either help you or finally blacklist you. I can feel your pain. Start looking for alternatives like the opportunity card if your have a degree. You should be in by the end of the year if your degree is recognised

You can only wait. No one has been called to book an appointment from the new portal booking. They have to finish the old booking first, and they're currently at July 2024

I think so because if they don't, i don't see the need for them wasting their time to give you that test. Maybe those that have a better idea can respond to this. How did your interview go yesterday?? Do you mind sharing your experience?

In our port,where we have the biodata page the port number details there is 9 in total including the Alphabet.

But when you look down to where you have that country code stuff,theres an additional number there which wasn't part of the normal port number.
Abeg people that had gone to the Embassy should explain this to us,let us not wait in vain. Is it 9 characters in total including the Alphabet?? @Hannania

None of that is part of your port number. Your port number is 9 characters including the letter.
