So the contestants deserve the money.

It's like asking why footballers are paid much.
It's because they generate much.

A first class graduate only need good advise and help in applying to schools for postgraduate.

Congratulations to him!!!! If only some form of monetary rewards were also extended to other firstclass graduates in other faculties especially in social sciences. Their names were not even on the award list, they just went home empty handed. Quite sad!!!
