Better to have efficient systems than waste resources.

You shouldn't oversize 1.5X of the PV capacity else get another MPPT to . There are HV MPPT now, that can be added.

POW-HVM11K-48V. It states 11,000watts maximum input. We had a PowMr 24v hybrid which took 2x over ling so we figured we can push our luck with this inverter. It was $800 inverter, worse case scenario. we lose it
30 pieces of 550 watts solar s wired 10s3p.
20 pieces of 550 watts solar connected to POW-48140A ( HF MPPT Controller).
Remenber, amps is pulled from s. You can have as much s you want but when the battery is full, the s responds to the load requirement.

You are looking at name plate rating which you rarely get, its rare for a 550watts to produce 550 watts in real life considering factory testing was done at STC... I reckon the most you can get is 70-80% of stated rating. Some people do produce that but rarely consistent.

I have a 16kw battery but my daily load is 63kw. ( 8kw continous x9 hours). Its not that oversized. We came across a deal to buy s very cheap so we did.. it was luck.
Is it efficient? NO. Can you get more output from the system? YES.
We are more concerned with getting consistent output despite low light conditions. Its extreme but the point of my post is to prove you can add more s past the stated inverter rating.. My system is different than a regular .. The project calls for eliminating diesel generator use 100% completely during the day with no excuse for rain or clouds.

I understand you well and if I had the money I would do so too.
My system is also completely off grid. No nepa and no gen for years and it'll remain like that.
I'm not a heavy electricity consumer. Only 6kwh I consume during the day from the sun and my 14kwh battery serves me 5kwh throughout night till next day when sun kicks in again. My s are also oversized compared to my consumption. I consume about 500w per hour but my s produce 4kwh in good condition and 2kwh in bad weather condition which is still too much for my lil consumption. What I consume at night is replenished by sun before 10am sef and the rest of the day is ran by s.

We still have to accept that these are things only people with money can do. Not everyone can cook up a fully offgrid setup for home or business.

LOL.. thats not true. it will clip. I do run my 10kv hybrids with 33,000 watts of solar s connected. MPPT pulling 120amps from dawn to dusk. One year and still working. In my system, none of my systems have less than 30,000 watts of solar s attached to it and i have 8 systems running. I can attach videos.

Follow the advice given on setting up protocol 05, and make sure the communication cable is connected correctly, i mean. There is a particular end that goes to the inverter and battery, if interchanged, it wont connect. Hope this helps a little.

Either should be fine, they're both top tier brands imo, though Growatt is probably a bit better.

Most I've loaded it up with is about 2.5KW.
