Shocking!!! What I Observed About Secondary School Students (1665 Views)

santaclaws: Sir, I am struggling to understand your emphasis on millennials. This thing cuts across! They're simply part of the overall trend. For instance, do you think the parents of that Unizik student were millennials? I dare say most of the parents that I hear not wanting teachers (or anybody) to correct their children seemed to me to be older. Look at all these corrupt politicians, for example. What morals can they impart in their children? Do they even care? Majority of them are certainly not millennials. 1 Like |

ThaThinka: Millennials are the new parents. If you see any child less than age 21, chances are one or both of the parents are millennials, i.e. maximum 44/45 year old parents. My focus on millennials is to narrow the discourse down to an age group that can make the most impact as it concerns this present age, not just to be critical of an age group to which I also belong - understand this. I am directing my post to people who can still make impact in parenting. Politicians, social vices, immorality, etc, once again, those are not the crux of the issue here, humans have been corrupt before the days of Sodom & Gomorrah. |

Some of these secondary school boys are into yahoo and crypto. I was ing across a secondary school around my neighbourhood one morning,i could hear some of the school prefect on duty discussing the amount of USDT in their acc😲.These kids have been exposed to money at a tender, the moral decadence will be on a huge decline in years to come.

RealLordZeus: This generation is something else. Then, if you are close to school gate by 7:45 am you'll be hurrying up. 1 Like |

santaclaws: It's really disheartening. In trying to form 'woke' parents of this generation don't instill discipline into their kids. |

tommy589: The rate it's rampant these days can't be compared to how it was then. Back then it was majorly amongst government schools but private schools these days are the ones leading today. |

StillDtruth: Your father is the devil since you can't your points across without name calling. Now to the subject, Who says discipline is only religion based? Even animals discipline their offsprings in their own way. I know you are referring to the spare the rod and spoil the child mantra. While I'm not totally in of it, I am still not totally against it. What I am against is parents and people in authority using it as a means to vent their frustrations and transferring their aggression. Do you know that there are more effective ways of discipline and correction that does not have to do with flogging or beating up a child? Any atheist or rational thinking human who has to follow any laid down rules or corporately agreed convention without first finding out if it suits his situation is not different in any way from the blind religious followers. I was not present at any convention where it was agreed by atheists or anyone else that children should not be punished but rather left to be whatever they wish. So Sir, this is you projecting your ideas on me and that I WILL NOT ACCEPT! |

Zonefree: That's courageous. Apart from the 'mind your business' attitude, one could be confronted by parents of these kids if not the kids themselves, especially the ones in ss4 |

Caleb15: Reality of private schools. Could it be because there are way too much private schools today? Back then private schools were few, very few and parents mostly corporate with them to discipline their kids |

DOUBLEBARREL: Sad reality. Back then there were no smartphones. No teektook and all that to distract them. But now a boy in jss1 has a smartphone and doesn't see the need for school because it's through that same phone the guy next door cashed out, bought a car and all that without going to school |

mariovito: Your name is atheists, and to call your name is allowed so, being who you are, it is only you and your kind who have Devil as their father. Secondly, I am not taking about solving the problem via discipline, no I am saying that since you people destroyed the basis of morals with your atheism, then it is right that you all should eat the evil fruits of your works. That is all. I was only amazed to see you atheist complaining about lack of morals. It was very very laugh filling 😁😁😁 |
