I was on Always On for over 2 years, preparing for this very eventuality for at least the past one year. I had amassed 167gb. I put 20k credit in my line so they could deduct their new rate during the usual auto renewal, but no: they refused to renew it, snatched my data and just moved on. At night I subscribed to the night plan, they took the 50 naira but did not give me any data.

This is the company I was ing on this increased tariff issue here on Nairaland. You can see why I would have preferred never to have to deal with anything Nigerian if I had a choice.

Could I be the only person in this situation? If not, share yours and lets see if we can have the numbers to write them and threaten a class action suit. My soul is not in this country, but my body is trapped here. The internet was one means by which I tried to keep my soul out of this country, but they want to take that away from me now

I thought I was the only one. 160GB for 2 months plan that I dont even finish and rollover so I had over 160GB, expiring 20th March.

Only to see 17GB by 12th February. What can we do? How can we sue or something?

Well I spent over 5h for just 2gig and its a 2 day exercise. Anyway I see big pay,I will ditch dstv, data and get the airtel 20,at least it will save me panic from data and dstv. My dstv takes 11k monthly and I'm fed up of old movies.

Did they tell you they would be scrapping Always On? Have you ever had 167GB data to misuse before?

Now that I put myself out there I'm bound to encounter the things I avoid the most.

If the numbers of aggrieved parties can grow here, then we can do something. We are not the crowd that are telling businesses how much to charge for their services like the rest of them; we are only trying to get redress for unjust action.

Calm down...stop feeling too high. It's not everything one should take as insult.

I said it's your fault because once there is a change in anything, anything is bound to happen.

Yes I've used more than your 167GB, really misused? NO, properly used for self development. Between Saturday and today I've used 70GB plus...

2 weeks ago, I got Glo cafe 74GB or so.... Just to use 1 day...
And yeah Its not pornography ...I Udemy/Coursera courses....with 5G that your 167GB will finish within 3 nights.

So, Chill.

Also 20GB plus in my MTN. I usually subscribe 2k 15gb a week plan..

The moment I saw that increase, I used it all.

MTN should restore all the previous plans . They should increase them with 50%.

That's all!
