Can 100 billion naira not solve half of the electricity problem in Nigeria What does it take to have stable electricity that this country has been battling with for years

Systemic corruption is the problem.

The shift to solar is a good idea, if you ask me

What criteria did they use to select those two teaching hospitals from the numerous teaching hospitals across the country ?

When they finally finish using Nigeria’s money to advance the southwest, they will now agree that the country should be divided; Nonsense!

grin stop crying, those are A list universities of first choice and have Nigerians of different backgrounds.

This is just another confirmation that Sw is the hub of education and research in Nigeria, no doubt we are the most educated tribe grin

It won't be replicated across
It will only be focus on SW Hospital
Just like the failed NIRSAL Anchor Borrower Program, an Agric intervention program, was strictly concentrated and focused in the North during Buhari era.

You're a slowpoke.. Read the quotes below.

We want to do the University of Ibadan plus the teaching hospital, Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, &nbsp, and Ahmadu Bello University”.

He continued, “We recently completed our intervention in seven universities and two teaching hospitals, where we gave them a hybrid mini-grid that would be cost-effective for 24 hours.”

For instance, we have 12 megawatts of capacity at the University of Maiduguri, which is capable of ing the teaching hospital and the only water treatment facility in the city of Maiduguri. These are the types of interventions.

See their brain, you raised electricity bills and opted for solar system for your projects. My people, don't pay that electric bill, buy inverter and use it to power your house.

Solar that will work for only 2 months and pack up. Crooks
I thought i am the only one having same thought.
All these switch over to Solar and I begin to wonder is it the same solar that uses battery and is limited in what it can do and carry and that starts diminishing in performance after a while?
Unless there is a modern version of solar system that now has increased efficiency and carry same load as power stations,if not, nothing can be compared to grid supply.
Why can't these unis with their numerous engineering professors can even solve their power issues locally?

This should be replicated across Federal teaching hospitals and federal medical centers.

God bless President Tinubu, God bless Nigeria.

But, can they solve the problem of epileptic power supply? Now it is solar installation.
Exactly instead of spending N100B on some TEMU solar light that will only work for 3 months why not spend that money on a coal power generating plant?. This is just a scheme to steal money.

The more you look the less you see, day by day, Nigerian politicians are becoming useless.

Anyway, I can see that the Chinese have a sniff that Nigeria will be a ready and available market for their solar related products now it's time to swing into action and for the power issue in Nigeria, the power holding company might soon be buried too.

We don't need the cost, what we need is the number of solar s, how much electricity it can generate, the beneficiaries and location, simple. All these telling us amount haf tire me, na scam. It always sounds like u're trying to justify what u spent on nothing.

Sadly development projects, opportunities (employment, recruitments, appointments, ission into secondary schools and universities), investment, infrastructure developmental projects are severely skewed in Nigeria.
It is not uniformly spread.

This skewing is deliberate and intentional.

Money laundering.

This is the mission statement of the Rural Electrification Agency:

Provide access to reliable electric power supply for rural dwellers irrespective of where they live and what they do, in a way that would allow a reasonable return on investment through appropriate tariff that is economically responsive and ive of the average rural customer

How does installing solar grids in UCH and UNILAG meet this objective when these are obviously not rural communities?
