Another one bites the dust.
Thanks to the abject stupidity of the NFF and the riff-raffs they put in as decision makers.
They obviously never reached out to her and when that dummy Magudu had a chance to invite her for the friendlies against Algeria and , he preferred to invite nobodies who offer no value to the SF instead.
What a bunch of morons!

Rumors are flying in that Spain Coach will be including her in their roster..

If Spain grab this girl i go vex, but playing in front of Alexia, Aitana and Patri will be a thing of joy for her as she will be well feed as their top9. Salma hasn’t done much from that position for Spain.

Like do you get, they don’t even know how to take advantage of players form..! Even she’s going to a starter now you can as well get her 🧢 tied till she’s ready especially when the potentials are very obvious..

I just hope Sam Ahmadu interviews with Edna wasn’t in vain.. If they don’t call her this window the NFF and Madugu will have the media to contend with as they’re only ready to Market their players using the National team..

Comfort Erhabor has been recalled from her loan spell with Plymouth Argyle and have now Championship side Portsmouth until the end of the season. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The 19-year-old goalkeeper played six games during her time with Argyle.

Brighton Women's under-19 head coach Dani Bowman said, "I'd like to thank Plymouth, who have helped Comfort's development, and this is another great opportunity for her to get first-team experience in a senior environment.
"She will link up with her Albion teammate Hannah Poulter and we hope she can continue her growth with Portsmouth for the remainder of the season.”
Erhabor signed her first professional contract in January 2024 before spending the rest of last season on loan with Scottish Women’s Premier League side Hibernian.

She recently had an interview with Sam Ahmadu where she reiterated her desire to represent Nigeria. So there's still a chance she represent us even with Spain calling. But trust the NFF to mess this up (hopefully they don't for our sake).

Come on Bro.

On what basis (merit wise) would Randy have invited her? She had a horrible 2023 season scoring just 5 goals in more than 28 games, with her team almost relegating. If she had been invited ahead of say Monday Gift, wouldn't you have called for Randy's head (and justifiably so).

Point is, she started the season with a bang and during that period, the NFF had an opportunity to at the very least extend an invitation to her for one of our friendlies since she started showing promise. It's makes sense to invite her now that she's living up to her potential, and we would be right to call out the NFF for not being proactive. What we won't do is make a scape goat of Randy not taking same decision during his time as coach when it would have been wrong for him to do so had he done it at the material time.

I know you don't like Randy but he's gone now, and we shouldn't always call his name whenever people call out NFF's incompetence.

This is not about liking Randy or not. She hit top form weeks ago and after just a window where we only played friendly matches, we have started calling out the coach. I stand to be corrected but does playing a friendly natch cap-tie a player?

I mentioned Randy because he has made way worse decisions that badly hurt the team in the past but you and other Randy fanboys would never point that out.

🇳🇬 In-form Super Falcons and Costa Adeje Tenerife W striker, Gift Monday extended her goalscoring streak to five games as she netted a 56th minute header against Sevilla FC W off her compatriot's (Rinsola Babajide) fine cross on Sunday.

The goal saw her move up to the t third top scorer position in the Liga F with 9 goals and 3 assists in 15 games! 🔥

Can the Women's AFCON start now please? 👀🇳🇬

Sorry, but common sense would have suggested that the coach use the 3 friendlies to sound out prospective players for the National team, considering we have a very serious campaign later on this year (WAFCON in July 2025).

As previously stated, she was in a rich vein of form this football season and at the time of the Algerian and friendlies, was the second placed top scorer in the Spanish Liga F (arguably, the best women's football league in the world). It wasn't as if we had to wait for her to get a FIFA clearance or Naija port or anything. This girl was ready to go once called and would have jumped at the opportunity!

This is about maximizing opportunities, considering the very limited number of FIFA windows available. And it's not just about cap-tying a player, but importantly, presenting them a platform to be a part of the mix during friendlies. It also demonstrates the fact that the player is recognized by Nigeria and her hard work and accomplishments have not gone un-noticed - especially IF she is deemed a great catch!

Instead, that dummy and his band of Neanderthals chose to invite players who had a zero chance of making the team. It was a lost opportunity to show Naija's Intent and seriousness. That was how Vicki at Barca was lost to Spain (After Oshoala had done all the ground work for her to be a part of the SF - only for the NFF to muck it up). Now Edna.

And oh, by the way, please provide us with the 'way worse decisions that badly hurt the team in the past' which Randy made. Kindly enumerate.

Why was she not invited by your Randy Waldrum to 'present her a platform to be a part of the mix'? You can argue with stats but surely the potential has always been there.

What has your Randy done in his 6-year tenure to address the shallow depth in the goalkeeping department?

The last time I called out his inadequacies here, you're crafting out theses to defend him. And now you're going on rampage just because a particular player was not called up for friendlies that would have had little to no influence on her long term future with Super falcons. SMH

I disagree with AkinDS on Coach Justin. The guy is there on the interim and it is very unlikely he has control of the invitation list. It's why you'll notice all my comments have been directed to the NFF. But you're also wrong on Randy and Vicky.

There's a way invitation works, particularly for players of Nigerian players born abroad. For folks who have no affiliation with countries where they were born it's way easier for a coach to either reach out to them or for them to reach out to the coach. Ashleigh and Alozie amongst her examples of players who did the heavy lifting themselves.

Rinsola took long because she was still leaving the England door open, plus she was unstable club wise. Vicky's case was totally different. There's was no window particularly when Randy was coach where there was even a slightest chance she would represent Nigeria. None!!! We were the ones here just fantasizing about it but where's was zero chance Vicky was going to represent Nigeria. It's a different thing if she was available and we fumbled it, she was never available.

Edna's stat
2024/25 - 17 matches, 11 goals
2023/24 - 28 matches, 5 goals

Considering the strikers we had at the time and their respective club performances in preparation for the Olympics, would you have invited Edna?
Also, still waiting on your specific examples of Randy Waldrum's 'way worse decisions that badly hurt the team in the past'.

You could have legitimately disagreed with his point on Justin (which I did moments ago) without pivoting to Randy to make a baseless point. If one breathe you acknowledge her stats weren't good enough to merit an invitation, but still want us to hold Randy responsible for not inviting her? Also who was she going to replace in the team at the material time? Wouldn't we all have called for Randy's head had he done it (and rightly so)?

First, we didn't have a shallow goalkeeper department. We had 2 of the best goalkeepers in Africa on our bench in Nnadozie and Oluehi. The conversation had always been about the future cause of Oluehi's age which frankly isn't Randy's job. The job of the coach of the national team coach isn't to develop new talents. I've said here severally that the NFF unfortunately hasn't taken youth development seriously the last decade. His invitation of Yewande Balogun, who the NFF forcefully took out of the team was an attempt on his part to beef up the department.

Also, Randy had a 4 year stint with Nigeria and not 6.
AkinDS: 11:03pm On Feb 04
I am okay with us not aligning on who to apportion blame on.
However, as far as I am concerned, as an insider, Madugu is part and parcel of the problem and hence, my comments.

People tend to forget that Vickie is only just 18. The right thing was for the NFF to have invited her to our cadet teams - U17.
But we all know how those ALWAYS turn out, considering the experiences the two young FBs ladies who were called went through.
Also, Vickie's dad mentioned that at no time did the NFF reach out to the family, in spite of the numerous times she had publicly expressed her desire to play for Nigeria in honor of her late mom.

Certainly, Randy cannot be blamed for choosing not to invite a 14 or 15 yr old, at the time, to the Nigeria WNT in preparation for the WWCQs and the WWC proper?

Good luck to her

From Nigeria to Spain: 21-year-old striker s black and white side Valencia

Ezekiel Motunrayo becomes the latest Nigerian star to switch to the Spanish Liga-F after her move to Valencia.
Spanish club side Valencia CF have officially signed 21-year-old Nigerian striker Ezekiel Motunrayo, signalling a significant addition to their Women’s squad as they aim to strengthen their attack.

The agreement will see Motunrayo wear the black and white jersey until the summer of 2026 as the club said in a statement.

Motunrayo, who was born on May 30, 2003, in Nigeria, is known for her versatility on the field as she is capable of playing both as a right winger and a centre forward.

Her speed and ability to find the back of the net are expected to be valuable assets for the team.

Before ing Valencia, she played for Rivers Angels during the 2023-2024 season in the Nigeria Women's Football League and had previously been with Lakeside Queens since 2017.

This g is part of Valencia's strategy to bolster their squad during the January transfer window, with Motunrayo being one of the notable Nigerian talents making the move to Spain's Liga F.

The club hopes that the Nigerian’s skills will help improve their performance in the league as they navigate a challenging season.

Valencia currently sit bottom of the league with seven points from 17 matches after just one win and 12 defeats.

Los Che will be hoping that the addition of Motunrayo will help usher in a new phase at the club as they look to avoid the drop come end of the season.
