Abbeyismo: Mechanic said the block has no crack. I asked him about the top cylinder and he said that was what he collected 5,000 from me for the grinding of the top |

Drove it back home, made sure to not go above 2000rpm. Temperature stabilized below the middle mark. Checked the radiator and it had lost some amount of water </= 1 liter. I have resolved to park the vehicle at home until I’m buoyant enough to get a new engine as advised. So painful ![]() |

yungmayor02: Better That your engine has been seriously dealt with. Save for a new engine. Even the manufacturer cannot revive that engine |
Abbeyismo(m): 1:35pm On Jan 25 |
yungmayor02:Well hmmmm make i no talk sha But if you can afford to replace the top cylinder pls do if the block is still very okay but if not safe up and get anothet engine sir. |

Abbeyismo: Here’s a response for the thread: It sounds like you've been dealing with a frustrating issue with your vehicle. From the thermostat removal to the radiator replacement, it seems like the mechanics are trying different approaches, but the problem persists. If the radiator cap is still leaking even after the replacement, that could be a significant factor contributing to the overheating, as pressure is essential for maintaining the cooling system's efficiency. Additionally, ensuring there’s no air trapped in the system could help. If you’ve already checked for leaks and the issue remains, it might be time to look into the water pump or possible blockages in the cooling system. Speaking of water-related concerns, when it comes to property damage, water mitigation services are crucial in preventing further damage, especially when there’s continuous exposure to water. Just like with vehicle cooling systems, proper management can prevent costly repairs down the road. |

Wizkhalifa2: Late, but have your alternator checked. It is also possible that your battery is going bad. Either way, you are losing charge while the accessories are running and your battery is not getting enough power to sustain it. Also check your cable from battery to alternator for wear. If your car is not overheating persistently, it might not be valvetrain related. |
Wizkhalifa2(m): 4:15pm On Jan 26 |
masciv:Thanks chief. Got a rewire to come look at it, it was a worn cable that was tripping off the vehicle when it came in with the frame. He taped and rerouted the cable. |

Hello everyone I drive A 2016 corolla, sometime last year September I started noticing the difficulty in smooth acceleration of the car it developed to the car finding really hard to climb a hill and I noticed some leaks from the gear area anytime I park. So I asked my mechanic to scan it, and it brought out this code p2757 with a little research I understand that it's inside the gear and it controls the oil pressure. Also my mechanic said the oil seal needs to be changed because that's where the leakage is from. Though the car has been parked since then. Please I will like to know How much they sell the parts needed to be changed. If it's going to affect the gear anyway hence a gear master would need to open it. What's the best gear oil for the car. |
Hybrid600: 6:21am On Jan 29 |
Have you checked the gear oil fluid level if it's low? You'll need a competent gear master to diagnose for you. This is the gear oil recommended for Toyota. There might be fakes around too, it's important you get the original to avoid damaging the transmission. Judeopara: 1 Like |

Judeopara: Is your car a regular automatic or a CVT? Pls take a picture of the VIN sticker by the door jamb (that pillar where the door locks) for confirmation before any advise is given. 1 Like |

Hw can piston rings from factory gelt weak, are the chambers melting rings. The rings are not weak, but seized or stuck due to carbon build up ,from incomplete combustion, fake fuel, fake engine oil. Never ring a toks engine.never. Example of a carbon stuck rings below Skinzz:

Good morning everybody Pls see scan result and advise pls

Olamlag:P0300 low fuel pressure Stalls or dies can be cause by IACV idle air control valve located around the throttle body. But first solve the p0300 first be4 going for d iacv. |

Good day my ogas, I have an issue with a 2004 Camry. CEL on, code is P1135 which points to a fault with the Oxygen Sensor bank 1 circuit. Live scan returns normal voltage range of 3.3V. Cleared, drove and the code keeps coming up even after swapping with another unit from a seperate car. In the other car, the oxygen sensor throws a P0035 code. This one na bad oxygen sensor. Dilemma is why is a working sensor from another car throwing same code with the bad sensor. Then fuel trim doesn't show on live scan. Car runs well but fuel consumption is high.

Good day every, please I really need advice in this my car issue. I drive a 2004 corolla (1zz) engine. Recently I noticed anytime I travel from Ibadan to Lagos I'll need to top atleast 1 litre of oil and within 1 to 3 weeks of driving 1 or 2 phase of spark plug gets bad with excessive oil but aside from this my car drives well even with a little top cylinder noise. I seeked the advice of my mechanic cause we were very close he said I should rebuild the engine and change wornout parts. I gathered some cash for the work and get it done. Now, no more leak or shortage of engine oil and the smoke is gone also the engine sounds verywell under (half engine) the problem now is after finishing the job and I took it out to test drive I notice the top cylinder noise came back and this time very obvious (we took the cylinder out for grinding) and also; 1. I can't climb a small hill but drives well on normal ground 2. Sometimes while in traffic and I put the gear on neutral, the rpm goes above 2000 and sometimes below 1000. Engineers in the house pls help me. |
omotoda(m): 11:47am On Feb 02 |
Ajani2plus: Just replace complete engine or by top engine since your other half is still good. All this grinding, rebuilding on Toyota engine do not usually last. |
Abbeyismo(m): 12:35pm On Feb 02 |
Ajani2plus:Problem plenty ohh Try scan the car first |

The moment a naija mechanic opens half engine like gasket change, grind valves, meanwhile the valves dont need grinding but carbon removal for all internal combustion engines like yours, just kiss that engine bye. Replace with toks or sell it at a loss. the engine is gone forever.no more factory specs and torque. It has been kazeemed by you and your kazeem .small carbon build up,u went and did half cylinder bullshit....

2cribz: It's quite unfortunate that people that make defamatory comments like these exist here and he even laughed about it. Not a very great tribute but it does have some elements of truth. I am a mechanic and I'm extremely proud of my profession because I believe I have all the knowledge and experience to handle any automobile issue hence my background as a qualified and certified Automobile Engineer with experience that spans three continents and over 37 years. Thus said, yes we do have many unscrupulous elements parading themselves as Auto Technicians. Many of them dont have proper workshops or convenient work premises. They dont have adequate tools or equipments for the jobs they do. Very rudimentary set ups and they without hesitation will recklessly rip apart any unsuspecting victim and fleece them as an appended part of their trade. However, many of such victims usually seek cheap labour and minimal costs to parts (usually fake or substandard) to effect repairs on their cars believing all should be well. Familiarity and fairness on the first visit is the lure and over time becomes breach in trust, negligence and ignorance not forgetting incompetence. But thats what you get when you want cheap, unprofessional and unskilled labor. Most of these mechanics are illiterate to the discipline and ethics required for these tasks which are mostly complicated and requires a good level of knowledge of the operational principles of the Internal Combustion engine and the all its associated components before establishing a service provision platform. So you'll find out that most car owners are more educated via physical shadowed interactions and information on the Internet than the individual handling a repair job on their behalf. The frustration is that most car owners don't want to get their hands dirty and most likely don't have the mechanical temerity to process the job hands-on or may possibly be a total layperson. That may also be ego attributed but thats the price you pay. Back to terra firma, I have always maintained integrity and honesty as watchwords in my own professional conducts and have exhibited and conducted various challenging jobs in car repairs in 37 years of my career both home here in Nigeria and abroad in the Europe and the Middle East and I do know that certain jobs requires well grounded knowledge of car mechanics and particularly specific to the make and model of any car before ANY kind of repairs is attempted. I as a professional have had my fingers burnt and disappointed by many third party associations and I have learned the hard way especially here in the climes of Nigeria. What I know now and understand is quite unbelievable and the dark side for those who don't know is treacherous and uncharted but I do make efforts in educating and keeping my clients informed on every single process of the repairs from diagnostics to completion. Still best to approach with caution by ing content and capacity before engagement. Now for the poster of this post, may I inform you that Gazzuzz is not a thief. Kingreign is not a thief.
