Who else has noticed this new trend in world class secondary and primary schools being built in Lagos.

First it was james hope college then chater house and immediately the investors at eko atlantic started theirs. I hope the investors turn their eyes into building world class universities like this too


This is the best school infrastructure wise in Africa. An investment of 150million euros. May be when the eko atlantic school is done we can come back to that title.

I did point out the growing trend of world class schools being built in Nigeria recently. The traditional schools were good but there had to be investments in world class infrastructure which they didn't have. This new school are comparable to the best schools anywhere in the world.

It has just been announced that the new world class school at Eko atlantic belongs to Rugby school, another UK group.
The trends keeps going as this year, Alaro city Is poised ro announce at least 2 world class schools and let's not forget Nova pioneer in lekki.

There's is a shortage of proper housing all over Africa. As more projects come online the prices will surely drop across the board.

Tatu is feasible, howeve, Konza is not. U can get house for 40k usd in Tatu and Alaro city and even then it is still out of reach of most in africa. U would not be able to get an apartment for anything less than 1million usd. You have it backwards, or is it upside down? Eko Atlantic and Konza City are on opposite sides of the spectrum. Eko Atlantic's main purpose was to solve the chronic shortage of real estate in Lagos. On the contrary Konza City is intended to be a technology hub. Both of those cities are geared toward very different purposes. The other difference is that Konza City is wholly GoK-owned while Eko Atlantic is owned by private entities working in strategic partnership with the Lagos State Government and to a lesser extent the Federal Government of Nigeria.

At Konza, there is no individual ownership of land, the govt through the Konza Development Authority sets the prices of land. Land is leased for specific uses as outlined in the master plan. The size of land parcels varies depending on the planned use. Since there is no individual ownership of land, there is no cost related to purchasing land. The question of cost therefore flies out the window. You are thinking of Konza city in Eko Atlantic , thats why you are so wrong. How many investors have invested or shown interest in investing in Eko? Just a handful, less than 5 I think, including a church! Real estate itself is going to be very cheap because all you need to do as an investor is lease the land at cheap prices then proceed to construct your apartment. Due to this factor, all units within the Konza housing scheme will be offered below market rent rates while staying undifferentiated from market housing. Phase 2 of the project which recently kicked of in earnest will feature housing (Phase 1 did not because it entailed horizontal infrastructure) and thats when we will be here to remind you that Konza is not Eko Atlantic's mate in any shape or form. Give it a max 2-3 years. The likes of Qwetu hostels, a major accommodation brand in Kenya are planning major works at Konza.
