Has anything changed for ants since then, I am thinking of relocating to Australia as an ant.

While not change your strategy.
Apply for the visa through another occuption.

You can always apply for ancy jobs when you do eventually get the visa and are on ground in Australia.
But for now you need to get the visa first.

Hi everyone...Happy new year!

Pls I need some guidance.
I'll be moving to Western Sydney to my hubby by Feb.
I'm looking for:
1. Advice on how to carry foodstuff {like beans, dried fish, stock fish, dried pomo, etc) to there (are there affordable/reliable shipping companies in Lagos?)
2. WhatsApp, Twitter, Fb, or Telegram groups that I can
3. Advice on ticket booking
4. Any and every tip you can give me🙏

Thanks!

Bringing food items to Aussie is a bit complicated as they don't allow alot of things to enter. Fishes are not allowed, seeds are not allowed too. For example, if you want to bring in egusi, you must grind it, seal it, write both the real name and botanical name, date of production and expiration etc. The stress does not worth it. There are people who specialises in bringing in food stuffs to Australia and I don't know how they do it. We bring in food stuffs through them. PM me so I could give you their number if you are interested.

Go to fb and search for Nigerians in Australia and follow the page. For the whatsApp, the groups are segmented based on states or territories where you are based.

Tickets are really expensive at the moment. But they will become cheap within February and March. Check out for Emirates or Qatar airways. They is a low cost carrier called 'china southern airlines'. I don't know if they fly to Nigeria. Goodluck.

Both.

The main issue is what is the market like?
Currently IT roles are tough to get.
Health care is in high demand.

I doubt you could get an healthcare assistant job from outside Australia. Please be careful of scam. With tech though not high demand but there are still companies that offer sponsorship.

Australia don’t accept self application. You must go through an agent. Note this agents are ed to provide these services and you get to see their details on the school website.

I don’t mind sharing as the process is country specific. I am currently practicing in the UK and had my nursing degree from there too. Where is your nursing degree from? Where are you practicing currently? With these information at hand I can tell you the pathways.

I am a ed nurse (Mental Health), obtained from Nigeria and currently practicing in Nigeria. I’m open to any route, be it study or PR. I just went to leave this country and make life better for myself and my family.

You will have to go through the New Zealand route using the transmanian agreement of a thing to transfer the New Zealand license to Australia easily. For the New Zealand route you will have to complete the tests of competence (theory exam- NCLEX and clinical exam - OSCE) to become ed. I think the OSCE is only written in New Zealand and this will cost you some cash.

If you can get the Australian nursing registration(AHPRA) getting a job won’t be a problem.

26th of January was Australia Day but tends to not celebrate it anymore.
