It's a big con. I heard it costs almost $50, 000 to get smuggled to Europe!! It beats logic! Africans running away, Chinese and Indians moving in and making it.

Masa don't repeat the lies being peddled by people on social media. I have read many articles and have also watched videos of some Ga Leaders and they were emphatic that Ga-Dangme's never migrated from Nigeria.

The Ga-Dangmes, Ewes, Yoruba's and other West African tribes are cousins. They are closely related and have so much respect for each other, but they do not speak the same language neither do they have the same cultural practices

Nevertheless these afformentioned tribes have a common history which is they all migrated from the borders of Egypt-Israel . Walked miles from there through many lands(countries) to their current locations.
The fact that Ga-Dangme's and Ewe's journeyed through nigeria does not in anyway meàn they migrated from there.
Their migration journey did not start from nigeria. Get that straight in your head

The Ooni of Ife was beside the Ga Mantse (King of the Ga) at inauguration of the new Ghanaian president in Accra Ghana.

The Ga people are the indigenous people of Accra and historically they are from Ile Ife.( Nigeria) .

Tatu City, Kenya

Seriously, what is wrong with the entertainment industry in Kenya? I saw a video of the vibrant community at Tatu city and I started binge watching videos of Tatu city on social media. All the videos I saw had Nigerian music in the background. Kenya looks like a good country development wise and it has a good population, I wonder why the entertainment(movies/music and sports) industry there is so poor.
This is the second time they cannot afford to host chan competition on time.

a couple of years ago, hosting rights to host this same tournament was stripped from them because they were not prepared.

Thats what caught my attention.
This is the 2nd time they have failed to host ordinary CHAN tournament

You see why I keep telling you guys to stop comparing your one stadium athletic championship to football tournaments?

I told you guys that the same Kasarani stadium that was used for your international Athletic championship will not qualify to host CHAN tournament. You see?

But on a more serious note CAF is not helping at all. Their President is not a serious football manager.

Why postpone a tournament just because Kenya is not ready?
These are some of the decisions that gives the impression that African tournaments are substandard.

If Kenya is not ready allow Tanzania and Uganda to go ahead and host since both countries have 2 of their stadiums ready.
Rwanda can even them making 5 stadiums.

Patrice Motsepe is destroying our African football with lots of bad decisions. He needs to be advised seriously

I'm surprised at how obsessed you are with Kenya and Tatu City/Konza City. Maybe you should move. Kenya is the third largest entertainment economy in Africa after Nigeria and SA. Kenyans generally love Jamaican, Nigerian, SA, and American music. That doesnt mean we have no local entertainment industry. Other than the two aforementioned countries, no country in Africa beats Kenya on music/entertainment. Not even the hapless Tanzanian entertainment industry comes close. As for the CHAN, I dont even know why that championship exists. We can do with Afcon. That aside, we decided to do a complete overhaul of the existing stadia and build one from scratch in readiness for Afcon. CHAN is a trash competition we have no time for, the continent should move on. The fact that Motsepe is more than happy to have the tournament moved to August should tell you he also knows its a useless competition meant for DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion).

Kasarani Stadium is nearly complete with a new roof, new seats, and new modern grass. Nyayo stadium is ready. Talanta Stadium which is being built from scratch is a long way off to be complete Dec 2025. Its meant for football and Rugby so that we can be hosting HSBC series on quality grounds. We have been having a conversation on stadia management in the country and I believe in due time we should be having proper stadia management. Atm our stadia are poorly run. Thats one of our unusually rare weaknesses when it comes to sports.

Don't be surprised. I am obsessed with those types of content on the African continent. If there is a new city being built in africa, u can bet that I watch all the video about it in hopes of learning a couple of things. I do hope to build a small town/city in my modest city of Jos, plateau state, but that would be in a very far future😆.

Talking about kenya and entertainment, Kenya might be 3rd on the rankings u mentioned because the metric for ranking them was consumption and not production which was what I was trying to point out. It's a known fact that the Tanzanian entertainment industry beats Kenyan.
I do hope that some of these new cities like Tatu can help solve some of the problem the entertainment industry is facing over there. Kenya should not be ignoring this sector because there is alot of money In it, trust me. I know Kenyans have the talent because I really enjoyed MTV sugar. It's first season was in Kenya before they moved to Nollywood.

Lastly, Chan is not a trash tournament. Chan is a wonderful tournament that was supposed to expose young African players playng in africa to the world stage. Imagine a young player from the tournaments goes on to make it big and he recalls that it all began there in Kenya where he represented his country and was scouted by top agents.

Kenya has failed to host this tournament two times now, its kind of embarrassing even if it's a small tournament. I hope the new policies about stadium management works out.

In Kenya, nobody has ever become a millionaire from doing music or entertainment. It's not a get out of poverty idea or proposal for many and the government. I think it's cultural, for example if you told your parents you want to grow up and become a successful musician like Burna boy you may get thrown out and disowned! Kenyans are a very conservative bunch, it's easier to import music from people who take it seriously.
