2024 seemed to be a very difficult year for many, I am not excluded; it was the kind of year that one might wish they had spent in a coma, only to wake up and find it was another year.

One of my friends experienced a significant business setback, and I, along with others, tried to console her. When she finally regained her composure, she started claiming that there was no God.

Even though I was also having a bad time, her claim didn't sit well with me. There was even one particular client who was frustrating the hell out of me at the time, to the extent that I had to refund his money and tell him that I was no longer interested in doing business with him.

One day, I approached my friend and told her that I wanted to speak with her. She replied that if I was there to give her a sermon, she wouldn't listen. I proceeded to tell her that I was also frustrated and angry with God.

I narrated my bad experiences to her, but I told her that I don't think they are enough reason for me to say there is no God. I mentioned that I still those times I prayed and received instant miracles. There was a particular miracle that happened to me in 2022; I had shared it with her before, but I recounted it again during this conversation and also reminded her of a specific miracle she had shared with me.

I included that there are times when we ask our parents for things, and they give them to us instantly without stressing us. However, during those times when we ask and they refuse to give, we might show our frustrations or try to avoid speaking with them or seeing them, but we don't start denying that they are our parents or go to court to sever ties with them.

When I discovered she was reasoning with me, I proceeded to tell her that it was okay to be upset and frustrated, and that she could even vent her anger by misbehaving, acting like a prodigal child, and doing all sorts of things until she felt satisfied. But she should not claim there is no God when it is obvious to her that there is God. This is how I succeeded in reversing her decision.

The miracle I shared with my friend:

In 2022, I booked my flight ticket from the UK to Nigeria through an agent who was introduced to me. Although I preferred to book my flight online, I decided to patronize her. A day before my scheduled flight, she called me and informed me that my ticket had been cancelled.

I was so worked up because I had already made arrangements for the trip, and everyone knew I was leaving tomorrow; in fact, an Uber was already booked to take me to the airport. I had already spent money buying various things, so the news came to me as a painful shock. I went online to look for cheap tickets, but I couldn't find any. So, I just knelt down and prayed to God.

I told God that if this is the last thing He does for me, He should just do it. I didn't want to tell anyone about it because it might seem to them like I was stylishly asking for funds.

The deal day eventually came, and I had no ticket. I was sitting in the car heading toward the airport, scrolling through the website of the agency I preferred to book my flight from and refreshing the page from time to time.

About an hour before my arrival at the airport, I came across a very cheap ticket. With quick fingers, I booked it instantly. I don't know why the ticket was so cheap; it is possible there were available seats on the plane, so they decided to reduce the price, or someone called to cancel their ticket. But the important thing is that it was indeed a miracle for me.

Sorry op, women are never atheists. Being devils they know God very well. That is why they always kill goodly children

https://nairaland.macsoftware.info/8305216/see-why-god-hates-women#133515537

So, she is deceiving you. And because you think she has changed, you will lose your guard and then let then her close, where she shall sex induce you to fornicate with her aka seduction which is the ed word of "sex" and "induction".

and bye bye, you are dead!

No woman is truly ever an atheist

So you saved nothing, she is the one taking you to Satan in a very roundabout way

This analogy is NONSENSE!

It's one thing for your wealthy parents to REFUSE to sponsor your wedding to a second wife. You can grumble and throw tantrums if they DON'T answer that request and still consider them your parents.

But if your father was a WORLD-CLASS Oncologist who owns and controls a TOP-TIER cancer treatment centre with TOP-OF-THE-LINE equipment and CUTTING-EDGE procedures YET he blatantly refuses to treat your 3-year old daughter with lung cancer.

That's ANOTHER thing entirely.

He watches you suffer watching your child immersed in unbearable AGONY and he does NOTHING.

Instead he strokes his beards and tells you to TRUST that he LOVES you very much. And that he has a GOOD reason for abandoning your little child to die a SLOW and EXCRUCIATING death.

You are justified to say a father like that is DEAD to you, i.e does NOT exist.

Not when you are not His child and He has been courting you since but you rejected Him.

And seeing how He answered His children and servants immediately, it clearly means THAT, THAT CHILD WAS NEVER HIS IN THE FIRST PLACE

After all these, now you are asking for favours, YOU MUST BE MAD!

Go to your own father's hospital and heal yourself

This example of a miracle is why I conclude many Christians have low IQ.
Luck is a thing. It happens to everyone, whether christian, Muslim, atheist, Buddhist, rapist, murderers, carpenters etc, whether they pray or not.
I always use my example of myself. I had a spinal issue that made me unable to walk for weeks. I didn't pray to any scammer. Just took drugs. Now I'm using my legs. If I had prayed once, that's how everyone would be telling me its god.
OP have you thought that despite the prayerful nature of Nigerian christians, the country is getting worse daily. So why is atheistic countries like China, New Zealand which have considerably less christians than Nigeria progressing while we languish in Nigeria despite praying at any chance?
Use your brain for once. Its not illegal

God didn't ask us to depend on miracles to live our lives; in fact, miracles are majorly to make unbelievers believe in God. God has given us brains to handle situations. One should pray and expect a miracle mainly when the situation is beyond human effort.

You might believe your situation is a case of luck, but mine is a miracle. I prayed, and God answered me.

1. If u said the aim of miracles are to entice unbelievers, then why aren't they rampant? How come the country is in disarray while the people that don't believe in god at all have better country?
2. Why exactly do u think yours was a miracle? What if i tell u someone somewhere else had your exact experience but didn't pray at all. Would you still call it a miracle? Also would you still call it a miracle if a Muslim or atheist experienced it? atheists dont pray to any god

Christianity is mainly our guide to Heaven. Being a non-Christian doesn't mean a person is bad or evil. There was a particular Muslim guy I met. I wish I had agreed to marry him then. When it comes to being nice, he is a natural. I can't imagine the number of prayers and blessings that must have been directed at him by people.

God is comionate; He shows mercy to all, regardless of their religion or beliefs.

If you go through the Bible carefully, you will realize that there are people that found favour in the sight of God because of their good deeds, and some because of their parents' good deeds.

I also have unanswered questions that make it impossible for me to doubt the existence of God.

I speak in tongues; can you explain this?

I dream, and it comes to ; can you explain this?

There is no evidence about the existence of your god. If you have any, lets have it.
Also I can speak gibberish and tell you it means anything. There's even a psychiatric condition associated with it.
If you think your dream comes to , tell me what you dreamed and I would know if it would come to . Deal?

Lol, what if you're terribly ill and you asked your parents for money to buy medicine that'll heal you but yet they ignored? What would you call that?

This is not a miracle bros. You people are just funny.
While your god was helping you sort out a cheap ticket to fly to another country, kids were already dying from sickness and starvation.
I guess your flight ticket was more important.

Well done brother..it's foolishness to believe that human existence is by chance and not by God for a purpose of living good and purpose driven life throughout our earthly journey...the bible said that at the last days people love for God and our saviour jesus christ will grow cold...and is happening now..people are returning to paganism and saying alot of crazy things about jesus christ...only those who have encountered jesus christ in the truth and in spirit will remain with God.... we have alot of churches and people filled every single seat every Sunday yet we have few committed servants of God...God have given Nigeria every thing we need to succeed and praying for him to Make Nigeria great is like commanding him as our servant instead of our Lord...the only reasonable prayer we need in this country is to ask God to help us reason like real humans he created in his image and likeness, so that we can use our God given brains to create solutions for our national problems..
We are not using our brains properly simple..that why we are tribal bigots and religion bigots...but if we come into a real relationship with God ..he will help us think well as humans and corruption and bribery will be eliminated from our national life...we will begin to love one another and work with one another to make Nigeria great again ...it is our duty to build Nigeria not God's duty...every developed society used their God given brains to make their nation more attractive and developed..God will certainly judge those who use their brains for evil purposes because that brain malfunction...

Hard time doesn't create atheists. People that claim to be atheists because of difficulties are not atheists - they're deceiving themselves.

Common sense, critical thinking, being realistic, wisdom, knowledge, information, knowledge of the Bible and koran, scientific thinking, common sense etc make atheists

Very very low IQ.
I was eagerly trying to get the "miracle" then its about a cheap ticket . That's the proof that God exists . He provided you with a cheap emergency ticket. 🤦‍♀️

By the way, the fact that you keep questioning if God exists or not is enough proof that he doesn't . Using his own example that soemtimes we ask our Parents for soemthing and they give us, and other times they dont give us, is enough proof.
Because both times it didn't make you stop believing you had no parents.

I want to ask one simple question, what impact does believing or not believing in a God has on someone? What does your God need my believing in him for? Submission and control right?

There is a big difference between an angry god-believer and an atheist. Atheists are not who they are because they feel disappointed by some imaginary god. Rather they don't believe because there is no concrete evidence for religious gods outside of their storybooks holy books.

Look around you, is there an material or immaterial item that we can point to that has the signature of your particular brand of god?

Picking a silly stroke of good fortune, that can happen to even the vilest of humanity, as proof of your god, just shows that your beliefs have a tissue paper foundation.
