Insecurity is the bane of Soludo istration!! I have always believed that attributing 100% of security challenges to Biafran agitation is simplistic and naive......a couple of salient societal negatives are at play in Anambra....maybe a security conference needs to be organized to identify these issues!

ESN/ BLA agitators

Cultism fuelled by drug abuse

Touts/ Tax collectors powered by shadowy bizmen

New Age Odinala idol worshippers doing their own power grab!

The most insidious factor is the breakdown of Nwaboi apprenticeship system in Anambra!

This list is not exhaustive but Soludo needs to tackle these issues with tact and also be ready to go kinetic if need be!

A Happy 2025 to us all.........2024 was not perfect but 2025 will be better! 2024 was a mixed bag for Ndigbo but the performance of a select southeast governors gave us some hope for the future ! I do not want to start the year with news of gloom and doom but Ndigbo and our governors must become very strategic in of what our ultimate socioeconomic and political goals are............after all the roads and bridges have been built ...WHAT NEXT ?

Kindly watch with care and an open mind!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKht6qk-b38&t=6s

I am looking at all this from a purely economic benefit point of view! A functional seaport in the east will grow the economy by at least 5% ..........reducing inflation all the way! I find it difficult to understand the way the minds of black Africans work especially Nigerians.

It is like our southeast politicians are suffering massive post civil war PTSD........our politicians are traumatized, they cannot even begin to meet to complain about these systemic gaps in infrastructure in the east!

I watched that interview too! He said EXACTLY what i've been saying about how the Nigerian political-economy has shortchanged and cheated the east in general and Ndigbo in particular (my own view of the interview and not his exact words)! It's been structured to primarily power and benefit the Yoruba (south-west) and Fulani (north-west) economies, politicians and and entrepreneurs, while the scraps are left for the rest of us to fight over! Our useless, appeasing and daft political elite were also indicted and complicit, either by omission or commission, in allowing this injustice to persist! I can understand small had it been we were still in a despotic northern military dispensation! But in a supposed 'democractic' dispensation....and our useless political elite are keeping quiet and allowing the Yoruba and Fulani get away with and sustain the unlevel playing field they insituted in the late 60s!? C'mon!

The insecurity started with proliferation of military grade weapons through IPOB sympathizers who financed the group. That group has now gone rogue and have turned their bush camps into kidnap camps.

Anambra needs a military operation to sweep the state and Imo to clear all these paramilitary camps. It's not just blocking expressways but they need helicopters, satellite imagery and phone trackers to identify and arrest criminal gangs.

Soludo likes to talk. Time for actio .

Again . ...a simplistic view! How many sweeps has your military, dss and Asari Dokubo's special forces carried out? All to no avail! It's like a man with heart disease electing to subject himself to rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy...........I am more than an insider........in fact do not discount politics and politicians from certain aspects of the violence!!!

From the days of boys oyee to Bakassi boys...Anambra has always had issues with violent crime since the civil war ended.....the agitation has not helped but your fixation with agitatiors suggests you do not know Anambra well!

The agitation violence can be geolocated within the Anambra border with Imo around that Orlu, Lilu, Orsu, Ihiala axis..............even the attack on the US embassy was narrowed to some Ogbaru youth / oil militancy issues........we are all educated here......our actions must be backed with unimpeachable evidence! No point shooting in the dark!

OUR political elite, Igbo civil servants, and even Igbos in the organized private sector are all in need of urgent mental and emotional rehabilitation from acute mental trauma .............. Igbos must never shy away from asking for what is rightfully ours from the biased Nigerian system! We cannot be Nigerians yet have our rights abridged and encumbered with reckless indifference! Oginidi !!

whilst we fight for our rights from the center as we should........Let us not forget that we also have a homeland that needs massive investments.....soludo must take care of our home-based business elite residing in Onitsha and Nnewi............... If we cannot tar Onitsha GRA , where else can we tar then! we must retain our business elite already based in the state!

The kind of crime committed points out to well coordinated weapons distribution. There are only three sources of military grade weaponry in Anambra:

1) The Nigerian police. Interestingly over 2,000 guns have disappeared over the years from police formations in Anambra which suggests a level of complicity between police officers and criminals something that needs to be investigated by special forces.

2) Gunrunners. There has been little investigation to identify and arrest gun salesmen in trading towns like Onitsha and Nnewi. The trucks that ply the state sometimes carry contraband items like guns and bullets.

3) ESN - The igbos continue to underplay the dangers of an armed paramilitary group claiming to fight for liberation. From Liberia to Sudan such groups usually morph into monsters competing with the state for power. The gangs claiming to be ipob armed faction is directly responsible for the increasing insecurity in the state.

Solutions:

1) Cameras. The armed gangs that conduct car snatching, kidnapping often ply the expressways of the state. Yet the state cannot even conduct simple intelligence of identifying suspicious vehicles on the road. There are no cameras monitoring major roads or arteries or reading vehicle license plates.

2) Hand held XRay Scanners- Armed military officers tactically experienced should man checkpoints on the roads not to restrict flow but to identify suspicious drivers and vehicles for further surveillance. Xray Scanners can quickly find vehicles transporting hidden guns.

3) Criminal profiling. Govt should recruit special investigators to build profiles of criminals in the state and to monitor their communication and social networks. From this intelligence profiles of gun runners, kidnap gangs and financiers can be built for prosecution.

4) Police probe. Police should be investigated for gun running and ties with cultists, kidnap gangs with bad eggs identified and prosecuted. The state must act quickly on this.

5) Military action - the military must be engaged to flush out the camps of kidnap gangs in forests around the state in a concerted action. It must operate in Anambra, Imo and Enugu.

It made me think that perhaps Anambra should recruit Israelis to gather intelligence and identify all the kidnap gangs and gunrunners operating in the state.

Mktinsight take your nonsense elsewhere. There’s no safe state in Nigeria, not even a single one. Stop your stupid warped narrative of making this situation in Nigeria about Anambra. Anyone in Anambra right now can attest to the massive influx of people in the state. Almost everywhere is full of activities. However, Anambra is among the safest in Nigeria standard.

A much better analysis but aside from all the "kinetic' measures you listed .......I am also a firm believer in the criminology concept of " The broken window theory"......the theory states that "visible signs of disorder, like a broken window left unrepaired, can signal a lack of social control and encourage further crime and disorder in a neighborhood, suggesting that addressing minor offenses can prevent more serious crimes from occurring"....The kidnap kingpins started their career in crime from small hustles like touting and pickpocketing..........The Onitsha/Nnewi axis is chaotic and largely ungoverned spaces that breed crime! It is not about the high volume of business alone, the Anambra state government has to put law and order in place in Onitsha and deny petty criminals the room to warp into kidnap and robbery kingpins! Chinese cities do far more street business than we do ...yet there is order everywhere!

People no longer fear government nor do they regard its laws and regulations! From sanitation laws to parking laws, to even curb the menace of women selling vegetables and fruits along woliwo is proving to be mission impossible for government...most laws are unenforced! Soludo is trying but he really needs czars in key sectors of the state........I know he has appointed an SSA on security............he needs to appoint a czar to decongest Onitsha/nnewi commercial centers................there is a need to build a new interstate and Intrastate bus terminal in the second niger bridge axis....................I like the way Patrick Mbah approach.......damn the consequences and move ahead!

Paul Onwunibe Landmark Beech Update

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88WRIYh1ZAA

The lesson here is that some Igbo individuals fail to accept that Lagos, Kano or Sokoto is not their hometown, and should exercise greater caution when investing their life's work in unfamiliar lands. Many choose to romanticize Nigeria as they wish it to be rather than confront its harsh realities. Sustainable wealth requires not only hard work but also strategic thinking—understanding the political dynamics and avoiding excessive risks in environments controlled by those who harbor bias against you.

For example, Paul Onwuanibe sold his businesses in safer cities like Nairobi and Cairo to focus entirely on Lagos. If his name were Paul Ogunseyi or Paul Oladele, his decision might align with Nigeria's tribal dynamics. But knowing how deeply tribalism influences decisions in Nigeria, why would someone like Paul ONWUANIBE, an Igbo man, stake everything in a place where those in power harbor prejudice against his ethnic group? This decision reflects a recurring pattern among some Igbo individuals who prioritize profit while ignoring the socio-political realities of the country.

History has shown that many hard-working Igbo people have built substantial investments in places like Lagos, Kano, or Katsina, only to face bitter losses when their presence is no longer tolerated. Despite repeated warnings, some continue to BLINDLY chase opportunities in these regions, dismissing the warning signs until the inevitable happens.

It was an Igbo man that destroyed his investment, and it wasn't just him it happened to. Several wealthy Yoruba men also lost their beachfront resorts.

That is a lie, after Landmark beach they stopped the demolition and rememebered that undersea cable ed through the beach. All the time he begged, they knew that sea cable were on that beach but pretended, oonly after demoolishing his business did they then say because sea cable are on the beach we wil not demolish the other yoruba owned premises but rather return to original plan.

Tinubu have started to campaign for reelection in 2027 using outdated project to deciieve Igbo that he will buid railway.

Is an outstanding project now a campaign promise or obligation?

I pray for the lord to open the eyes, heart and mind of Ndiigbo to be as wise as a serpent.

Tinubu came in and just started demolishing people homes, putting entire families on the street and children on the street on school nights.

Then he went out of his way to demolish this man business.

Literally moving away from original route and return back to original route after demolishing landmark.

These things are never forgotten, as Black people such things are unforgiveable regardless of tribes or religion.

U just dont try such on your fellow human.

Gbam!

It won't surprise me that some individuals, possibly hired under fake names, may show up here to distort the facts you’ve aptly outlined. If INNOSON had given in to the pressure back in 2013 to relocate to Lagos for access to gas pipelines and lower manufacturing costs, it’s highly likely his operations would have been shut down or his factory demolished under one pretext or another. Profit-seeking must always be weighed against the risk of losing everything. It is called "common-sense"!

Some Igbo people who refuse to heed wisdom will inevitably learn the hard way. This mindset tends to be more prevalent among Igbo individuals born and raised in Lagos, who have never visited their ancestral region. They often convince themselves that the biases and systemic challenges faced by the Igbo don’t apply to them—until they experience it firsthand. And when it happens, the rest of us will once again be here asking, “What happened?”

This is out of touch with reality. For one, Lagos has a very hot real estate market, and there's a bigger market for goods and services in Lagos than most of Nigeria combined, so OBVIOUSLY, the average investor sees the prospect of greater returns on his investment. People looking to get value for their life's work don't make investments based on sentiments - which seems to be what you're advocating. The second reality is the security situation in the SE has further diminished its prospects as a serious investment destination. Look at countries like the US, UK and Australia's embassies traveling advisories for its citizens explicitly listing SE states as states not to visit in Nigeria due to militancy and kidnapping. We decided to make our home a hellhole, with militant IPOB/ESN activity and the sit-at-home idiocy, and attacks on police and security personnel giving cover to criminal bandits to plunder and ravage the state, so we should reap the rewards of our stupidity. Asaba's real estate market is thriving because our stupidity has made many Anambra sons run over there to escape the deteriorating security condition in Anambra. If you have land in Amuwo, Ago, Okota or wherever in Lagos, it's a no-brainer and a VERY easy choice for you to prioritize developing that land over whatever land you have in the village. One, you feel far more secure in Lagos. Two, your property has far greater value in Lagos. That is the practical reality on ground and sentiments about a few Igbo properties in Lagos being demolished cannot change that reality.

I spent years here warning many IPOB cultists that with the disorder they were promoting, and the jobless riffraff that make up IPOB who they were applauding, and the attacks on security personnel in the SE that they were cheering, they were unleashing a monster that they would not be able to control. They wouldn't listen. I have a sister based in the UK who was a fanatical IPOB cultist: she came home to Nigeria this December and refused to leave Lagos (where she walked around freely on the streets without a care in the world). Yet, the few times she visited our hometown, Oraukwu, the last few years, she lodged in hotels rather than risk sleeping in our family home (because she's terrified of being kidnapped). There is a price to pay for promoting anarchy, and we deserve to reap it fully until our brains are reset. Until then, please stop chastising people for prudently investing their resources in other places where jobless riffraff are not compelling people to "sit at home".

Yet, the few times she visited our hometown, Oraukwu, the last few years, she lodged in hotels rather than risk sleeping in our family home (because she's terrified of being kidnapped). There is a price to pay for promoting anarchy, and we deserve to reap it fully until our brains are reset. Until then, please stop chastising people for prudently investing their resources in other places where jobless riffraff are not compelling people to "sit at home".

you people sit at home and type rubbish? if you want to develop 100 feet tap roots in Lagos feel free to do so! what nonsense! Are the people living in the southeast ghosts? Yes! we have security problems in the southeast but do not overblow it sir! We have had serious misgovernance in the southeast for a long time...... docile and corrupt individuals peopled state government houses in Alaigbo, we have a set of relatively active governors now.....don't dull our shine with your teenage girl bawling here, It is vexatious and repulsive! Are we the only people to ever have security issues bikonu........see the way Governor Makinde killed the Sharia thing and worked with security agencies to smoke out ISWAP terrorists in Oyo bushes but when Fulanis strike in Southeast your governors pay condolence visits and pretend all is well! ESN was self help against Fulani kidnappings, if the governors were serious ESN would never have been set up! so stuff your complaints and channel them to your past governors!

You can keep deluding yourself with self-comforting twaddle like this, but we're the absolutely sheepish reetards and national laughingstock who "sit at home" every Monday because a terrorist gang of jobless riffraffs have sown fear and apprehension in the minds of grown men and women, who comply with the orders of the riffraffs because they know anarchy rules the state.
And at no point have I absolved the government from the role of their incompetence in the issues of Anambra state, so I'm not sure what you're rambling about. The solution to the failures of the government (who at least are able to the people who elected them if they can leverage their power as the electorate) is not to fund and arm rudderless, jobless, faceless riffraff who are able to no one. Any idiot in any village should have been able to predict the chaos that would emerge from that, but I gave our people too much credit, assuming them to be rational beings.

People that sit at home every Monday because they're terrified of the riffraff they have sheltered, funded, armed and cheered as they sowed chaos in the SE should not be lecturing Igbos outside the SE about their choosing to invest the fruits of their hard labour in saner climes where there is no parallel government of riffraff dictating which day of the week they can go out and earn a living. We demarketed our homeland by ourselves and chose to make it synonymous with anarchy and criminality, and we need to reap the rewards of that without complaint.

I spent years here warning many IPOB cultists that with the disorder they were promoting, and the jobless riffraff that make up IPOB who they were applauding, and the attacks on security personnel in the SE that they were cheering, they were unleashing a monster that they would not be able to control. They wouldn't listen. I concur, Ide Nnaa!

I never ed that IPOB nonsensical secession. Look at what they have turned Anambra into.
