Personally, I cannot see any reason why you were refused.

The said deposits are so minimal and should be considered inconsequential - in my humble opinion.

I think the visa officer just wanted to refuse you for reasons best known to him/her. Of cos, a reason has to be given - hence the reason of the deposits that are not even up to N20,000! I don't see why living with your parents and siblings is a problem. That is your reality - unless you were expected to lie (which I would not ).

You don't really need hotel booking for UK visa. It appears there was an issue with the hotel booking you presented.

The first visa is usually the most diffucult to get. I know that I have renewed my visa a couple of times with many unexplained deposits - without any issue.

May I suggest you give UK a break for now. Try any of the other European Countries - , Italy or Spain.

Your two refusals will haunt you for a while. However, once you have travelled to another Country in Europe, your chances of getting the visa increases.

Please chase this up, the referenced money makes no sense. They refused me, then my solicitor submitted a PAP, and they re-refused me again. They kept shifting the goal post. I chased it to a point where they couldn’t come up with a defensible refusal ground and if I took it to the court, they’d have had to pay my fees. Even after their legal department told them it wasn’t defensible, the ECO and ECM were still moving mad. I’ve attached their internal notes I got when I requested for my files and comment via subject access request. They overturned that refusal.

How N2,000 becomes an unexplainable deposit, an amount not up to 2 pounds, and I even documented in my ing documents that it was a failed transfer that was reversed, it was airtime purchase that was reversed.
How it’s an unknown deposits just begs the question? Did they look at the explanation I gave? But thank you for your input, I guess I’ll revisit South Africa or Doha or I’ll try Italy.

Hi, I wouldn't advise using a mutual funds just because the funds available for your proposed trip need to be liquid, i.e. the funds must be immediately available for you to utilize. However, in the case of mutual fund investments, these usually need to be liquidated, which can take a day or a few days. Since you have transactions that you can't easily explain in your 6 months statement, can you possibly provide statements for the past three months, four months or five months then? In your case, it's obviously better to provide bank statements showing liquid funds over a three-month period, four-month period or five-month period than providing a mutual funds as POF. For instance, if you have a USD domiciliary with at least $5,000, that will be good to show for a 1-week trip to the UK.

I got the same email this afternoon for my mother in law's 2 year visit visa. It means the visa was approved since there was no accompanying refusal letter.

Aww Thank you so much Sis for your reply, omo I won't advise anyone to use their courier service, they are really a big joke. Imagine some number called today to say we should come to their office in Benin to pick up, after paying almost 55k to waybill from lagos to Benin. A journey of 4 hrs turned to a journey of 7 days with vfs global, it's like the parcel has been in their office since until I wrote to their head office which they claimed to be investigating the matter before the kpako courier called today. They finally brought it this evening......

Just pray there is a GIG branch close to you and for the next few days pick up unknown numbers calling you as they maybe calling to get delivery information.

Have you attended any church conferences outside Nigeria in the past? Is there a possibility of streaming this conference online? These are important considerations.

Nawao! This is really a downgrade even with the huge courier service fee paid. From DHL to GIG.
In my next application, I would consider pickup from VAC directly.
