Good morning Everyone,

I own a 2004 Honda accord (Scrap EOD), as some of my fellow car owners will call it.

The engine runs fine but I struggle to start it only in the mornings.

Every other hour of the day, the car starts just once as it hits ignition.

Once the car is left in a state of inertia till the next morning, it struggles to start.

I kindly seek the advise of experienced engineers/mechanics on this issue so I can know how to repair or restore.

Thank you smiley

Check your spark plugs
Gasoline level if it's not too low
Ground positioning
Check oil filter
Check your Kickstarter
Check your engine oil

Get an OBD 2 scan on your car to figure out the main fault. However this sounds like your crankshaft position sensor is faulty.

1. Checked, no issues observed.
2. Gasoline level - low or full, it happens.
3. Not sure what this means.
4. Will check.
5. No issues with this.

you did it well ? You must do it well. I didn’t say start the car, just turn the key once so the electricals come on. Then pump accelerator like 5 times. After that you can fully start the car

Noted.

I didnt just start the car as that wasn't what you recommended.

I turned the key to the label "II" such that all lights on the dash came on, then I proceeded to pump accelerator five times.

Kindly confirm if this is in line. Thank you.

Go and that your alternator is charging and if it is, then your battery is gone.

If it is or it is not?

yarimo it's a cold start issue. happens when the car has cooled down. he should check his cold start sensor and switch.
Their are some symptoms in cars no mechanic can tell you directly exactly the problem such as this. Meanwhile thank you for not bringing politics into this like two rascal did earlier instead of them to provide meaningful suggestions to op . Thank God I have put them where they supposed to be in the first place 😆😆

the pump must be really bad. Check the fuel pressure to see if it’s low .

Eeyaa, frustrating right? Had similar issue with my Corolla, like in the mornings I will start it first,go take break fast, bathe and come back and it's still doing like it wants to choke to death,it will take like 10-15 mins or more before it will level up.. finally, the mechanic said it was the Cold starting sensor, after changing all the plugs, nozzles, even fuel pump ... So,there you have it, cold starting sensor

If it is or it is not?

IF IT IS, then your battery is gone.

If it isn't, then you either fix or replace the alternator.

It can't be starter,I'm 100 percent sure,it's the crank sensor plug,by I think top of alternation,or corner of alternator.it might not be receiving signal from the engine, hence brainbox will suspend injectors and spark plugs from doing team work. Call a rewire,he would have a bulb and plug, tell him to insert it into the male and female crank sensor terminals to see if voltage reach there or not . If not,dem go scatter your electrical be that if its fuel pump,it will start at once without agidi but will die once u step on accelerator,it won't do slow.

If its starter,it won't even crank or make any click or anything
If its battery, it will start and charge but will drain b4 u get to the main road.

If its plugs,it won't start,if it does, the engine will vibrate and be weak....it will be less than 500rpm and might stall.

If its crank sensor.it won't start,if it does,it will die after sometime intermittently, like dying after 10mins,starting again,it will loose power .the crank sensor is the cars ups or powerbank while engine is on.
Don't let rewire scatter the car.

Check crank sensor
A bad or cold start switch, which is always at radiator base, won't cause hard starting .

Fuel won't cause hard starting.

Bad and dead plugs
New fake below standard plugs causing hard starting....
Always use a multimeter to check for voltage of spark plugs b4 installing.
New plugs na nonsense.tokunbo na God.
Already dead and revived back to life by force toks scrap plugs.
Bad crank sensor plugs, either the female or male plug......
