Back in 2009, there were four men who were falsely accused of being criminals. Before anyone could do anything, they were burnt to death for nothing.

Also, recently, a young French teacher was killed because he was falsely accused of insulting someone's religion.

The police is there because all it takes are a group of people who are 'seeking justice to attack' and burn down the chambers and by extension harm a lot of innocent people who had nothing to do with the case.

It is not panic.

(Note, I do not either of the sides, and in fact if pushed, I may be more sympathetic to the defendant, because i too have heard stories...but we have a judicial system that is there, flawed as it is, to establish the proof of a crime)>
