Latest Npower Payment Update

Today’s Npower update warns that any text message claiming you qualify for a 75,000 naira payment and instructing you to call a specific number is false and not from Npower. Npower will never ask you to a number to receive payments. Additionally, payments have not yet started. The National Association of Npower Beneficiaries is considering legal action to urge the presidency to address the pending 9 to 12 months of stipends. Beneficiaries are advised to remain patient and rely on information from official Npower channels, steering clear of unverified sources.

Npower Payment Update: National Association of Npower Beneficiaries' Elders Voice Discontent with Publicity Secretary

In an effort to pursue legal action to prompt the presidency to release the overdue 9 to 12 months of stipends, the Executive Committee of the National Association of Npower Beneficiaries has expressed dissatisfaction with a recent video by Npower Publicity Secretary Adeshina A. Adex. The Publicity Secretary had met with a prominent lawyer, who inquired about evidence that beneficiaries attended their designated primary assignments during the program. The elders are upset that this sensitive meeting was not kept confidential, as many beneficiaries attend their places of primary assignments but cannot retrieve their attendance records and a significant number were never deployed.

Comrade Kehinde James warned that the presidency could use this lack of attendance records against the beneficiaries, potentially delaying the release of their outstanding payments. The committee believes the Publicity Secretary should have kept the discussions private until they were fully resolved with the lawyer, emphasizing the need for discretion in such matters.

Npower Payment Update: National Association of Npower Beneficiaries to Pursue Legal Action for Unpaid Stipends

As reported by Npower News, Comrade Kehinde James, the National Adviser and Chairman of Npower in Niger State, has announced that the National Association of Npower beneficiaries has collectively decided to pursue legal action to recover unpaid stipends covering 9 to 12 months. He stated that the association will wait until the end of October, and if the outstanding payments are not resolved by then, they will proceed with litigation and other arbitration methods.

Comrade Kehinde James highlighted that Npower Batch C beneficiaries have been waiting for over two years for these payments, feeling that the federal government is taking them for granted. Data shows that some beneficiaries are owed 9 months, others 8 or 12 months, and some have received nothing despite completing their assignments and the Npower program. Many beneficiaries expressed frustration, noting that they have only received three months of stipends out of a possible twelve. The National Association of Npower beneficiaries, along with the affected individuals, is urging the federal government to address these outstanding payments to prevent further action from the association.

Instead of all these gra gra for payment, why not lobby the government to restart the program and include names of people being owed in the new batch?

Forget past payment and start afresh.

Me and you know say only like 10% of npower actually attended their ppa duties

Npower News Update: Npower Beneficiaries' Association Reaches Out to Key Government Offices

The National Adviser and Chairman of the Npower Beneficiaries Association for Niger State has submitted letters to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and the Socio-Economic Rights and ability Project (SERAP). These letters have been acknowledged as received.

The National Association of Npower beneficiaries has given the Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation a two-week deadline to settle the outstanding stipends from the past 8-12 months. Should this deadline not be met, the association intends to pursue legal action.

Additionally, a letter was sent to the Ministry to clarify that the National Association has an official structure with duly elected representatives and to disregard anyone falsely claiming to be a member.

SERAP has assured the National Association that they will communicate with the Presidency to expedite payment in the coming weeks, confirming receipt of the association's letter.

The National Association of Npower Beneficiaries, has criticized former officials Adeshina A. Adex and Abdulrahaman Maifada, the previous leadership for their self-serving motives, emphasizing the need for a structured approach to prevent such issues. With the newly formed National Association in place, beneficiaries can expect to receive their stipends soon.

Npower Beneficiaries Demand Immediate Payment of Stipends: 24-Hour Ultimatum to Ministry

The National Association of Npower Beneficiaries has issued an urgent reminder to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, led by Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, regarding the outstanding stipends owed to approximately 500,000 Npower beneficiaries. This reminder follows up on a previous letter sent on October 22, 2024.

The Association has given the Ministry a strict deadline of 24 hours, until November 12th, to settle all unpaid stipends. Failure to do so will result in legal action in a competent court.

In addition, Kehinde James, the National Adviser for Npower, expressed strong disapproval of any defamatory or disrespectful comments made by individuals claiming to represent the National Association of Npower Beneficiaries. He emphasized that such behavior would no longer be tolerated moving forward.
