He is always on point when answering questions in interviews .
Ms Harris should learn from him

You have absolutely nothing to fear as a minority from a Trump presidency. He will always do the right thing.

Please, how true is this? A friend told me it is not necessary to get an International driver's license before traveling to the UK that the normal Nigeria driver's license is ok.

You don’t need an International driving license in the UK. Your Nigerian driving license covers you for a year. Police here since most international driving license from Nigeria as fake because there are different types.

Like I said, Trump isn’t a saint or perfect candidate. Tbh, America can do better between both candidates. That said, Trump is not fumbling all his interviews and podcasts like she is. It’s more embarrassing for her given Trump has also been Trump. She’s meant to be the “skilled prosecutor” with years of experience. She should have built from her debate performance and be killing it by now. Instead her campaign is imploding. So much so Obama is so desperate to try and recover lost ground with his outrageous comments.

Lol...are you serious about that comment? Can Trump put two coherent sentences together? I mean he was beaten so badly on that debate that he refuses to do another one. Did you watch he interview with Joe Rogan? Trump is God's punishment for America

Technically yes to the bolded.

It is however a legal obligation to pay for the IHS after the baby's third month to be able to access NHS treatment. Some trusts are more vigilant than others and might ask for proof of the baby's status/ IHS payment if the baby was attended to at hospital.

LOL and after the debate, what has she done? I’m objective enough to say Trump lost the debate and rambles on most times — again, it’s a crap choice for Americans! But you can’t ignore or say she’s not fumbling badly right now. Like everyone in her camp is clearly panicking hence the Fox News interview etc. Even CNN’s Anderson Cooper was disappointed with her answers. If she loses next week, it’ll be down to her poor media performances. At least Trump is a known quantity since his first campaign — love him or hate him, no one is surprised/shocked by him anymore.

lol, the reason for that is simple and confirms my earlier suspicion, which is that she very likely got the questions to that debate beforehand. It is not happenstance that the ONLY platform where she has had any sort of confidence and composure was that debate (aside the fact that there were 3 active participants in the debate vs the other guy). Before the debate she was cackling Kamala, and after the debate she has reverted to cackling Kamala.

You do 12exams and only one, who no know say that one wey you , na cheat you most likely cheat🤣🤣🤣🤣

What is your weakness, NONE!
What mistakes do you think you have made so far, that you wish you had done differently, NONE
What will you do differently from Biden, NOTHING
But in same breath, you still it and confirm that the economy is in a mess and the border is a mess. Even a dumb person here should be able to navigate those questions, with just a smidge of originality. The originality go cover the dumbness and help such a person give better answers, than aunty Kamala. I assure you it doesn't matter what or how many interview Kamala goes to, even if she interviews with her mother and there is a camera rolling, 💯 certain she will still fumble if questions come on the economy or the border, cos she simply just doesn't know how to be REAL. Her hypocrisy and fakery is her Achilles heel and I'm loving it!

And yea, I agree with your earlier post, and I already said it in a previous post here that I wish JD Vance was the candidate. He makes for an even better choice.

LOL I’m honestly surprised at how her campaign has fallen apart. Like many objective observers, I thought her DNC speech was inspiring, and her debate performance was solid too. But since then, she’s unraveled in front of our eyes. It doesn’t even seem like she’s being fake or phony; she just cannot cut it in those settings. Exactly as you mentioned, it’s like being caught off guard in an interview with an unexpected question, only problem is that it’s happening too often and she’s running for POTUS. The repetitive answers and constant pivot to attack Trump no matter the question asked, is not cutting through and doesn’t seem like a winning strategy to me.

As for your last point, I think a stronger matchup would have been Gavin Newsom vs Ron DeSantis — who knows it might happen in 2028!

Future generations (if indeed there will be any future generations with time to read and learn while not out desperately foraging for food in the shambles of the earth following the mess we're making of this world) will look back on the 2024 elections and wonder how their ancestors could have been so stupid.

Politics is inherently rubbish - candidates obviously cannot say everything they plan to do in office and must dodge some questions, or outright lie - see a certain governing party somewhere in Europe and their ridiculous contortions over who is a "working" person, for example. This is simply because getting elected is the priority. Maybe that's why many find Mr. Trump refreshing as you clearly get the feeling that with him what you see is most definitely what you are going to get.

I think that the Republican agenda for the US is wrong, leaving aside their candidate. Their economic philosophy of virtually unfettered free market capitalism, low taxes and low regulation doesn't work. Imagine companies being free to pollute, pay whatever they feel like in the absence of a minimum wage, collude, monopolise, virtually act as they like in pursuit of profit, etc. Basically, social democracy in some form is the least imperfect system of government mankind can devise, and it costs money to run a mixed market economy, which has to come from somewhere. The GOP's latest dalliance with financing the government through higher tariffs to balance out tax cuts is nonsense as you can never raise enough money from tariffs on items you need to import and ultimately it is the public who pay the cost anyway.

On the social front, the GOP apparently offers a return to "values", whatever that means, basically boiling down to the anti-woke war. I agree that life was generally simpler and better for many 30, 40, years ago. But this is life - it changes and it evolves. It used to be said that everyone the young are rebels and lefties until they get jobs, mortgages and families and then they morph into conservatives. However, the GOP and the Tories here by their policies favouring rampant capitalism and disfavouring social democracy have made it largely difficult to impossible for already socially disanchored young people to follow this path such that they feel they have less stake in society.

The Democrats and the left also dont have it 100%. That's a given. Some parts of their social agenda appall the religious, and there is rightly debate over the extent tax and spend should go, and so forth. We've got red Tories in power here, but we're all waiting to see what Reeves pulls out of her hat on Wednesday, and how many manifesto promises will necessarily have to be reversed, just like George Bush had to do in 1989, for instance. But in this US election, the Democrats are not attacking the very fabric of US constitutionalism, however imperfect it may be, or going about threatening fire and brimstone or generally creating more fear and tension as opposed to rational debate, whatever people may think about their candidate's handling of questions. If for no other reason, one hopes that the US will eventually vote for the party more disposed to calm things down and end the drama, the shouting, the fear, the tension and the rapidly increasing noise, for the sake of the US, and, given its role in the world, ultimately for us all.

especially in a post-COVID world, Kolewerk. We are earnestly waiting for the so-called economic magic.

Just like those here now wailing over increased taxes for investors and landlords, where do they expect increased government funding to come from? From heaven? Interesting times ahead, indeed.

In this current world, everyone must bring something to the table those days of monkey dey work baboon dey chop are gone.

That tarrifs talk wey Trump dey talk na crap talk. I don't believe he sef believe that talk as say na tariffs go replace taxes in most cases. Even if he smoke skuchies what the figures will show and the effects of that alone in one quarter will make him rescind that kain plan..I truly believe it is just empty talk sha...Trump and cruise na 5 n 6..na just to bolster the whole euphoria of we are promising you lower taxes. Me think na cruise with a dose of chochochocho like Ebola's 'e lo fokan bale, a ma gbe wale'🤣

The folks wey dey fear dey willingly choose to fear ni. Fear that is based on nothing, is that one fear? E lo fokan bale he don do president already, the world was peaceful, US no break up, and he wasn't Hitler then. Who dey fear, check am well, maybe he get skeletons for him closet...or demons dey haunt am🤣🤣🤣.

Bubu wey actual widespread violence and death trail him loss in 2011 sef, the weere kuma still win election for 2015, and fear no cripple us then. make those wey dey fear grow balls or come to us for tips to confront and combat fear. Lol

You on the other hand, can't it that she is grossly unprepared, you can't it that she is fake and till now most people aside women (obviously) cant relate to her or have a sense of who she is, you can't it that Obama did a messed up thing, making such a divisive and insulting statement as to suggest that black men who aren't ing Harris are acting that way cos they are misogynistic, when in fact it is cos they know she has nothing to offer them.

.....

Baba, you carry this matter for head like gala.

Regarding the bolded, hope you do realise you're doing the same thing you accuse Obama of?

Truth be said, I'm less bothered about what Americans are doing I've not watched most of the interviews you think she killed her career on. Maybe because its not lit up on my algorithmic feed. At this stage in such a divisive contest, there are many hills both parties could die on. Except a candidate makes a major gaffe, most voters are locked in. Don't forget one of those running is a recent convict and his ers dont care.

Case in point- the Western country with historically one of the most generous /"gracious" immigration policies has now also decided to be more restrictive.

Immigration is always largely based on need, not only of the host country - most migrants (especially those coming to the west) travel out because they also have a need e.g for economic, physical or political stability and a better future. It works both ways.

Yeah, need goes both ways. Change is constant and there are ebbs and flows most things. At least most of those other western nations did not set up their immigration system as a business enterprise, go on to comit an act of national self-harm in the name of cutting migration, turn around and start visiting countries asking their citizens to come over and take advantage of new pathways they creates, go on to let in record numbers, plan significant expenditure based on the profit they expect from such record numbers and then turn around and blame new entrants for every national issue including traffic.

All said, I'm comparing notes and as this is your specialty, in what sector and how long from now do you thing there would likely be another migration boom to the UK. The last one was personally well received. I love the UK, it's given me and my family plenty.

Just don’t get caught if you use your Nigeria driver’s license after having being in the Uk for more than a year. If you get caught, So pe otilo o. I would advise not to try it if you want to drive, get a provisional and find someone who has three years of experience to be in the car with you.

As with the date, people make business of buying date in bulk and reselling them while aome are just good at getting closer date. My former driving instructor does the latter, I can connect you with him if you are interested.

They took a loan with which payments were made to the slavers, it was that loan repayment that was concluded in 2015 and not to the slavers which was done in 1833 😌

missjekyll:

Slavers kept good records. They may not have addressed them by name as Mr Tunde Nwosu but they sure knew "Big John" . Just as you know how much is currently in your , they kept track of everyone and their offspring.

It wouldn't be that hard to find descendants.
I give you the First nations of the US and their compensations just as an example

Addendum: the last payment to the slavers was made in 2015. The same way their estates were identified, use the same way to find the victims.

Also it would be tinubu paying reparations. His adopted mother (madam tinubu)was a notorious slave trader. Bad blood will out.
Why she has anything named after her is a mystery. Some people should be in the dustbins of history.

Hello everyone!

I'm facing a bit of a dilemma. I'm currently in Nigeria and will be getting married in about three weeks to someone on a Tier 2 visa in the UK. We’re planning to marry at a registry in our LGA instead of Ikoyi. However, I've come across conflicting information regarding the validity of marriage certificates issued outside federal registries. Some people say embassies might not recognize certificates from non-federal registries, while others believe it doesn’t matter as long as it's a legitimate registry, whether federal, state, or LGA.

Should I proceed with the LG registry as planned, or could this impact my dependent visa application?

I don't intend to move to the UK for another year, but I’m planning to visit my spouse in February (God willing). We’re unsure whether my spouse should begin the process of adding me as a dependent now or if I should apply for a visit visa instead. We're concerned the dependent application might not be completed in time, and I don’t want to miss the February window due to timing constraints.

It does not matter which registry, issues the marriage certificate......

Do you have the leveraging documents, to apply for a visiting visa....... If not, don't waste your funds, apply via the dependant route (much safer and guaranteed)....... 👍

Contrary to your position, you can invest directly in S&P 500, by simply buying fractionally or via ETF's.......

If you want to invest £500 pcm, portfolio diversification is the best investment vehicle (my opinion)........

You have 2 investment options......
- Self managed.....
- Portfolio Managers managed.....
I cannot advice you on either route, simply because I practice both investment options.....

ETF vs Index funds are similar, but have some variations......

https://www.fidelity.com/learning-center/smart-money/etf-vs-index-fund

If you want a managed portfolio, nutmeg is a good provider..... Simply start by paying £500 (opening balance), then setup a continuous direct debit going forward.....

NB: Open an ISA (it's more tax efficient).....
