Did you buy an electronic ticket which is saved on a mobile device or did you buy a paper ticket which needed to be printed with a ticket collection reference number?

If the second type, you are supposed to print the ticket out at the ticket machine at the train station using your bank card before you travel otherwise you can be charged a penalty fare.

I use a variety of apps including LNER, Trainline, and CrossCountry (tried Uber too a while back).

Yes, that's correct.
If you're coming on a resident visa (skilled worker, etc.), your entitlement to drive on your Nigerian licence in the UK ends 1 year after the day you moved to the UK as a resident, irrespective of the expiry date on the licence itself.

Tbh I can't precisely how much but I think it's £3 or 3% of amount transferred (whichever is higher). Op can do their findings on how much it'll cost for the £200 transfer.

Don't do it! The interest won't be worth it and it'll tank your credit. You're better off trying to apply for a new money transfer credit card that is set up to enable you transfer cash to your bank .

Abort mission, if you must do it with a money transfer card. You can also explore using overdraft instead. If you don't have one, try and see if you can get one with your bank. If your bank offers the current switch service, you can switch your current to First Direct, they have a generous overdraft facility with 0 interest on the first £250 plus they are currently offering a £150 bonus for current switchers. I'll explore this last option first if I'm in your shoes.

You are going to get some mad charges for this . It affects your credit score as it's taken as a sign that you are struggling.

Addendum: I m seeing other warnings to you too ⚠️ . Don't do it.

What do you mean by '' out of 21 days ''.... If all your appeal fails, you might have to take your chances with the magistrates in court (by contesting the fine)......

In the interim, send an email to the rail ombudsman(clearly stating your position) .....

It’s seen as a regular transaction and not a cash withdrawal and it doesn’t incur any charges, all they need to do is select the card when they want to send the money to someone on their PayPal list and select Family/Friends for the transaction. It also doesn’t affect anyone’s credit score as long as they say within the 25% spend on their total available credit.

You can’t send the money to yourself, you have to send it to someone who has a PayPal and they’ll withdraw into their and send it to you. Just make sure you pay back when your statement drops or atleast the minimum balance.

Card in question is capital one..... Extract from their website......

If you withdraw cash from most credit cards, a note is normally placed on your credit report.... And most lenders would view borrower negatively.....
