For me the number 1 goal is to keep Trump out of the White House. Hopefully this will be his last run. These are my reasons:

1. Trump presidency emboldens racism. While some of us may connect on religious values with Republicans, racism is part of Republican conservatism, which is why the Republican Party is unable to attract many diverse groups, even many immigrants with religious backgrounds.

2. Trump is a threat to American democracy. That attempt to get Georgia state officers to change election numbers, then possibly get judges at the Supreme Court to dismiss the case is exactly why Nigeria and many African countries are in the filthy position they are today. Once that scenario sets in, American politicians will no longer be able to the voters. Trump has learnt from his previous attempt and his Project 2025 colleagues will help him make laws to get away with things like this, and his extreme mob of right wing ers will use threats and intimidation to force the lawmakers to enable him have the powers he wants.

Also, his attempt to scuttle the peaceful transition of power was very dangerous and showed how far he can go. It took his VP to damn the consequences and do the right thing at the expense of his political career. Trump will use every known pressure mechanism to achieve his goals at the expense of democracy.

3. Trump claims if he were president, inflation, wars and the rest wouldn’t have happened. He would’ve said the same thing if Covid had happened during Biden’s time. Inflation happened all over the world after Covid so that’s not a good argument for me. Are Americans better than they were 4 years ago? Absolutely. 4 years ago hospitals were overwhelmed with COVID patients, unemployment was high, many businesses closed down due to low economic activity, so again, this argument isn’t good enough for me.

4. Was Trump economy Better? Yes, but so was Obama’s economy handed over to Trump. Then Trump’s economy ended badly with an apparently mismanaged health crisis, which Biden Harris inherited. We could never tell the whole story. As an educated person who does his own research, I have checked economies around the world during Trump’s era and almost all of them were headed in the right direction as the US economy. Better still, Obama left a healthy economy to Trump, with unemployment at the lowest at the time. So what was Trump’s magic? I can’t find any.

Meanwhile look at the stock market that Trump boasts of, it’s at an all time high under Biden - Harris! The stock market doesn’t care whether you’re Trump or Biden, it continues to head in the upward trajectory with occasional downward and side movements.

While neither Harris nor Trump possesses the magic wand to solving all of America’s problems including government spending, immigration crisis and other issues, Harris is a much better candidate than Trump. Trump being a threat to American Democracy and emboldening racism is a far bigger issue than other issues facing America.

By the way. I have to say Elon Musk’s all-in on Trump may be ill advised. Billionaires usually candidates from the background with funding and resources. They usually don’t go all in. I suspect Elon may face antitrust lawsuits regardless of who wins the election. This is because the founders of America didn’t want any single individual to be too powerful to dictate what will happen in America. This is enshrined in many parts of the US constitution including articles I, II, III, 10th amendment, and the Bill of Rights.

Anyway, it’s up to the American people.

This is not what abortion laws are about. They're about protecting the life of a baby right from when they're conceived, over the choice (and in some cases the life) of the mother. Education is important.

First, it's not undemocratic to oppose the result of an election. In a democracy you are free to accept or oppose results.
Secondly, mention one of Trump's policies as president that was racist. How did any of his policies negativity affect minorities?
Blacks had their lowest unemployment in 60 years under Trump. Black poverty was it's lowest in 40 years under Trump.
And lastly, Obama's economy was a joke when compared to Trump's. Do your research.
