Have you tried it out, how much for it. I am looking for alternative to starlink, all this Nigerian ISP are giving very low Mbps and most of them are not unlimited.

Please check on the speed on this and let me know please
It is just for small businesses and enterprises...this is not an Internet service provider like Starlink. Just gadgets, routers, to boost connectivity...

As for the Nigerian ISP thing, I use an Airtel 5g router, and it is unlimited. I am currently on 20MBPS (#20k), which is okay for my needs. If I want a higher MBPS, I have to pay more (Although I feel it is still pricey for that MBPS, it is better than nothing). We don't have fibre broadband widespread in Nigeria yet, and MTN fibre broadband is not available everywhere.

Guys, have you recently switched to Starlink Residential in the Lagos area? How did you do it?

Did you sign up from the official site? If so, how long did you have to wait?

Did you use an address just outside the restricted area?

Or: are you on the roaming plan of ₦167,000/month?

I’d rather the increment is approved and service delivery is good than this nonsense. Many of us that rely on Starlink for work are suffering.

Thank you very much for your explanation. I am hoping to look for a better alternative. Airtel has network issues in my area so as MTN. The network issues is too much for my liking.

Your best alternative will be Starlink then if you can afford it. Glo doesn't have router plans, unlike Airtel and MTN. I don't know which state you are...so....

Starlink has been horrible today. The service had been good throughout the week, and I was starting to think that it had finally improved, given the recent poor performance.

However, it's been absolutely horrifying today. I hope this is not as a result of NCC not allowing them to implement the new subscription pricing, because I would rather they are allowed to, so that customers can have better service quality.

After rejoicing don't forget the line they said their service to Nigeria could be a risk.
If the Nigerian regulatory authority don't let them flourish as a business, they could close Nigeria entirely.

That's bad news for me coz I live in a forest in Nigeria where no mobile network and only starlink gives me Internet.

Abeg oh, they should come to a compromise that will make all parties happy. I can't afford starlink to leave Nigeria.

Lagos and Abuja problem. Port Harcourt ed in the problem.

For the rest of us, speed is OK.
I get 200mbps here and I'm using roaming. In the past when I used residential, I used to get to 390mbps

Currently in PH, it is really an issue for me, but paying 75k monthly for subscription is a No No for me

You can check this link, I can see that Port Harcourt is among: https://www.mtn.ng/helppersonal/fibre-broadband/

Click on Where is MTN Fibre Broadband available in Nigeria?

At the bolded, I share the same sentiment. I have to be earning at least $3k consistently. That is just me...don't want something that will put a hole in my pocket.

I do not come to this life to pay bills alone, big bros...I want a situation which I won't feel it.

Also, it is not only internet sub person dey do for this economy. transport dey there...electricity, and the most money-consuming of all in this inflation, food. We have other responsibilities. That is my point.

Priorities are different sha. Someone can be earning 200k a month and still do it...to each its own....I also want to save after all my expenses.

Yup! Same - I’ll probably have to relocate if Starlink leaves Nigeria. I’m very happy you all are keeping this thread alive with updates oo.
