To be honest, this might be tricky because it seems like they didn't have any record of it until I actually ed the appointment letter. However, i would still recommend trying. 1st create a ticket and secondly call customer service also and see if they can escalate it for you. Mine took about 24 hours to get changed back. Goodluck

So you were able to get back your more recent rescheduled interview date after they changed it?
My interview is in a week, so this gives me hope. I already raised a ticket, ed my interview confirmation and chatted with them and they said they will escalate it.
Since you got your newer date back, I hope they give me my date back too.

It is good to have specific travel plans because that will make your trip a directional trip. Not having a travel plans makes your trip to the United States a probable journey, which means you are not even sure and not really expecting the visa.

You must have a person in the United States and that person can be the person who invited you, the head of business you are visiting, a medical doctor, etc. But if you are going on personal vacation or holiday, person may not be necessary.

2 weeks is okay for your trip but if you want to go and spend your work-leave 4 weeks is the maximum.

Hello. You cannot use physical ideas or application strategies to win or secure American visa. You can only use the strategies and ideas of following the rules and regulations of the visa.

Therefore, let your family apply for their visas in the same day. If they are qualify the visas shall be issued.

In the real sense of it, only children back home in Nigeria cannot satisfy the consular's ties 100% score mark because your family or relatives are there to take over their upkeeps even if you failed to return to Nigeria .

* You are focusing on OIS , what about AVITS ?

1. When your VISA processing is completed, you will receive the documents back with the delivery option chosen during your application process. You may however, change your preferred document delivery address online until 11:59pm a day prior to your interview or through the call center between 9am to 5pm a day prior to your interview.

2. You cannot change your VISA pick up location again, and if at all you want to, you must go and sign up and do that on AVITS, and also go and do same on OIS. Both AVITS pick up location and OIS location chosen by you must tally.

PS: Go and open a profile on AVITS and your VISA status first. That is your official and No-1 USA embassy electronic Résumé.

We've had an attestation and certificate of birth issued by NPC being rejected by NVC as invalid document. So at this point it's confusing to know the version they are accepting.

Go to the local government to get the old version. Lagos state has the old version which you can get through the local government. My brother got one at Mushin Local Government

1. I did not state that you belong to any. It was a sample reference, indicating 221g scenarios. Well, you never can't tell because the USA embassy will not tell you if you happen to answer same name with a wanted criminal or terrorist. Nobody is clean, once put on 221g - istrative process , aka background checks.

Have you heard of a scenario where a visa is approved, and I can tell the officer to give me my port? i can submit it for the stamp later, not immediately? I don't trust that my polite request to the officer for an expedited return will be honoured. They should give me the port 1st, then i can submit it later.

I don't know what you have been discussing with @OyotunjiUSA but for the interest of others ; your travel port is your personal property and the 2nd entity who is your next of kin on the property is the Nigeria government.

Therefore, if your visa is approved and you asked the visa officer to give back your port for urgent use, of course the officer can place you on 221G and ask you to come back or courier your port.

But according to my observation and information from the like of Oyotunji, if such visa applicant is a criminal or wanted and the embassy still want to do background checks on him or her , your port will not be given to you. The consular will ask you to write a formal letter.

There is no update option in the new portal. What you will do is to open a ticket with your new DS 160 confirmation and ask the embassy to do the update so that when you print another appointment letter the new DS 160 number will show on it.

If that did not work just go to the embassy with your new DS 160 slip. There is no other way round .

I don't think the ticket you opened was successful otherwise your dashboard will show the number of tickets you have done.

No update oo. Just go nd attend your interview. But alot of rejection sa. Just pray. My brother who went there yesterday was refused also. Nd while outside waiting for him. Hardly did I see 4 approval.

Pls guys is there a thread here on NL or Facebook group or even WhatsApp for IR1 or CR1 visa applicants guide. Just same way we have that of B1B2 and students visa categories too.
