Are there any challenges when buying a phone on AliExpress?

I see that there are cheaper options available on AliExpress compared to what you can find on Jumia. Has anyone successfully purchased a phone from AliExpress without any problems?

I want to buy a 5g mobile device that can accommodate both Airtel and MTN networks. The 5g routers are bulky and limited to a particular network.

Those phone specs are not as d, most of them are clone of substandard products. If it is too good to be true, then it isnt true.

You have to know what you’re doing before ordering a phone from Aliexpress. Make sure the price difference is not too much.
Check reviews very well. If there are no reviews, run

Things are expensive on Ali express....when you convert the price displayed to naira....it's quite much. I will rather go for jumia

I use USD as my currency. They aren't. The only challenge is buying dollars and depositing them into the bank.

I am asking whether Customs would seize it. Or, will I pay additional charges?

I buy less expensive stuff, like phone holders, PC and home accessories, etc, without glitches. I am looking forward to exploring their phone marketplace.

You are right....but try to search for deep freezer or washing machine and compare the same with what is on Jumia. Then you will understand.

I will not advise to patronize Ali express, except you want them to send only phone cover, Check the seller's shop and every needed details before you buy. My last purchase, I was sent a phone case instead.

Am telling you the truth...you will see the price is more on Ali express may be due to custom clearing and shipping fees. But on Jumia, these items are cheaper.

The method of importing those two items are different. Allyexpress is most likely air and expensive. Jumia is most likely Sea and so naturally cheaper.

Okay, now I understand. I even just placed some orders via Ali express, made payment with bitnob. So you are right, the price are first shown in naira then then I click my card, it changed to dollar. Very cheap, with 19.5NGN am able to buy 4 quality items.
