I nearly bought unlimited sim from my plug for 25k plus logistics 3k down to ilorin, note it does not come with router.

I came to nairaland check different forum then I realized that I could get a router plus unlimited sim data for one month for 25k.

Lesson to learn;

Before making purchase decisions make enough research, ask questions, compare prices.

I got the router 25k. I just went and read the product description again on jumia. I think I assumed the sim that comes with the router was the unlimited airtel where as it was stated clearly that it's 30gb bonus sim. I think my best bet is to buy the router again from airtel office...

The first question is how much did you get it?
try browsing with it, because on a good day the unlimited plan will show no balance but data will be active on it.
I'm thinking you bought an unlocked version of the router that did not come with the unlimited special sim
Also did you get a special sim with the smartbox?

Ohh sorry about that bro, that's one of the main reasons why I created this thread to allow people make informed decisions regarding Airtel unlimited data purchases.

I'll advise you to connect the sim to your airtel mobile app and check if you'll see the unlimited 20 option there you can be lucky

That's what I use currently.. the 5g for 50k and 20k unlimited data . It's super sweet .
I use upto 1TB monthly

How can I check my monthly usage pls.

I think it's based on router my new 4g router don't exactly show this, I just use my phone Internet speed monitor or phone data usage to check how much I've used, so far 100gb plus my other family use it too apart from my pc

When you get to the Airtel office you'll pay 25k
You'll get both the 4G router and the unlimited 20 data plan on it.

You're not paying any extra money just 25k for the two.

Make sure you tell them at the Airtel office that you want the router that has unlimited plan

If your're using the latest router I think the option is not there because I'm experiencing same issues here too

My PC screenshot the router has two different network 2.5ghz and 5ghz

This is 5ghz usage the one of 2 is around 19gb so totally worth it in my opinion

you can pair with your friends or colleagues, some of my colleagues at work pay access fee enjoy unlimed for as low as 3k whenever I'm at work, you get the scope like that, it will reduce the pressure on you finacially

It has inbuilt battery that lasts around 5hrs although you can remove the battery too, you can also get external battery bank as well and it last around 3hrs making 8hrs plus battery.

I just wanted to enjoy the unlimited data for one month on streaming, won't be worth it, if it's slow.

The network is just fair in my area there's no 5G here so the speed is not that Incredible but I do WhatsApp IG tiktok and some other social platforms

But In some area the network is extremely fast, but for streaming especially live matches you might not really enjoy it as such
