I was the first set of people who linked their lines to their NIN. The moment MTN started threatening to bar my line if I don't visit their office, I simply visited Airtel office instead to port my line. No time for rubbish.

Follow up.
A menu of options will display. Press 1, which will take you to another menu. Press 2, to submit your 11 digits NIN. I mean your own NIN, which must match the BioData on your SIM Card.

Press 1, to accept and confirm the Submission.

NOTE: your SIM card won't be unblocked immediately after this process. Wait for 4- 5 hours for the technical team to your BioData.

After 4-5 hours, you SIM confirmation will be unlocked, where SMS will be sent to you to continue with your usual activities with your SIM.

Did this earlier today and my line started working in less than a minute after I was able to submit my NIN.

You might have to try several times though as there is a barrage of traffic on their servers

If your line(s) was blocked or has been blocked by your network due to NIN not been linked, you can dial *996# and provide your NIN or NIN previously linked to the number or you your network's app and link through the app.

You may have no need to visit their office if you do this correctly💯

If your NIN doesn't have an image or your ed name doesn't correspond with the name on your NIN, you may need to visit their office, try the code and app method first, if it doesn't work, you can visit their office.

That way, you save yourself stress, time and money especially those whose issues aren't complicated.
