Please advice me, I got a job of 60k in Lagos am presently living with my family at abeokuta, am planning to move to Lagos to start the work. The advice is 60k job is okay for the family of 4 in this Nigeria economy.

If your wife is doing something, like retail trade or any, you can take the job to yourself for the main time pending when you eat a better offer.

If the job comes with free accommodation that will ease your stress, then you can manage it

You are almost 40 & have 3 kids and want to move to a 60k job, be ready to stay in face me I slap you in Lagos because rent has quadriple plus the accommodation you are in Abk is far better than what you would see in Lagos.

If you have no job at the moment, i'll advise u move (u alone o), to lagos, find somewhere to hang your head, do the 60k job but be on the look out for other opportunities with higher pay, that u can move to.

Don't let anyone fool u ... Zero naira is zero naira!

At the end of the month, from that 60k, with super management, u can still be sending madam about 10 to 20k monthly for upkeep ....

If u have skills, u can see opportunities to make use of such in lagos ...

u see that abeokuta, i ran from it some years back and i'm doing waaaay berra in lagos

And to make matters worse, house rent in abeokuta, is almost same with that of lagos

Look for a teaching job in your neighborhood for now. At least there won't be any additional expenses of renting a house and buying house hold items. If your wife too is doing something, both of you can combine resources to manage the home front. 60k in Lagos is not a good bargain at all. 40k in Abeokuta, near your neighborhood or even 35k is far better!
