The Certified True Copy of the Judgement delivered by Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja shows that the ruling did not invalidate or nullify the Edo PDP Governorship Primary.

The judgement also did not make any pronouncement on the validity or otherwise of Asue Ighodalo or his running mate, Osarodion Ogie.

The suit was filed on 8th February 2024 by Kelvin Mohammed, on behalf of 375 Ward delegates allegedly barred from participating in the 22nd February Primary.

*EXCLUSIVE: COURT DOCUMENTS SHOW EDO PDP GUBER PRIMARIES WAS NOT NULLIFIED*

Barely 24 hours after news broke that a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has nullified the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Governorship primaries in Edo State which produced Dr. Asue Ighodalo as Candidate, we have exclusively obtained Certified True Copies(CTC) of the Judgement delivered by Justice Inyang Ekwo in the case marked FHC/ABJ/CS/165/2024 which shows that the Court did not make any orders or declaration nullifying the said Primary Election.

In the 37 page CTC document which has the full Judgement, there is nothing to show that the court issued an Order invalidating the February 22nd primaries in Edo State nor a Mandatory injunction restraining PDP from fielding Dr. Asue Ighodalo as it's Governorship Candidate in the forthcoming September 21st Guber Election in the State.

In the absence of such orders, the court cannot be deemed to have nullified or invalidated the Edo primaries as erroneously portrayed by some sections of the media.

The Campaign organization of Edo Governorship Candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo (TAMO) yesterday released a press Statement clarifying that Asue Ighodalo, who emerged victorious as the party's candidate from the exercise has not been disqualified. They blamed counsel to the Plaintiffs for all the misinformation surrounding the Court ruling.

"The counsel to the plaintiffs, Adaze Emwanta, who left the court room yesterday while the ruling was still on to address the press, claiming that the honourable court had disqualified Ighodalo and annulled the primary election, completely misled an entire nation and all media houses, both electronic and print, an act which has been described by sundry legal practitioners as reckless and reprehensible professional conduct" The statement reads

They further called on all political parties to eschew propaganda and peddling lies and concentrate on selling their candidates and what he has to offer Edo people.

English language is truly hard my brother....

Was the primary a subject of this suit, that's what you will ask first.

What was in contention was the ward delegates list not the Primary. Section 84(14) of the Electoral Act 2022 made it clear who can challenge or have the locus standi to challenge the outcome of a Primary.

Ighodalo will appeal because it will have adverse effects, but ask yourself why INEC has not acted on this Court Order...

Looks like the PDPs primary was just as messy as their governance, but at least this time the court got it right.

And what's your analogy of the truth. The judgement wasn't even about primaries but because of politics you'll twist the facts

Number One: How will they enforce it?
They are not aspirants hence cannot challenge anything that happened on 22/2/2024.

Even though Ighodalo must appeal.

Nigerian courts? A court said that someone won an election in Abia state house of assembly but didn't order that the person should be sworn in.

The more you look, the less you see.
