Hi everyone I have been observing this thread for a while, I've been very active in the US and UK Japa thread
After some time I Nature spoilt my plan I realized that I couldn't meet up with US because it's so expensive followed somehow by UK
For some days now I've been researching about German undergraduate school fees in Public University and I realized that it's somehow cheaper, I also realized that I can study and work as an undergraduate in , I have little money now but I want to double my hustle and see the Amount I can save in next year ending cos am not in a rush,
Pls my people I need some info on how much it will cost me to travel to with undergraduate Visa
I plan to hustle there and contribute to the one I saved here while also doing my Online gig, Note that I don't have any Degree here and I don't want to cause there's no time again To waste here
Pls someone should answer me, last year I read that won't give appointment date till 18months time I don't know how true this is

I heard someone say I need to have my documents ready before making any first step like my: School documents, certificate and port.
I also heard about booking appointments, block chain and the rest. I don't understand all these.
I believe I will if someone can make it succinct.
Then, I start applying and others follows.
I just need someone who knows about this stuff to assisted me by telling me what to do.
This is a thread with different parts. This part is the 8th page. All questions you need can be found from page one of this part. At least that's the best place to start. When you have gone through that reading you can now ask for updates such as the current waiting period for category B visa applicant amd the current block amount (these two have changed since the this part 8 enquiries started).
Kindly follow sequentially. If I had enough time, I would write everything for you to understand but I don't. Incase no one does that for you, resort to what I advised above. Good luck.

1. Visa appointment takes 22 months for undergraduate study before you get a date. First decide if that's feasible for your before you consider
2. Average semester fee for public schools is €350 per semester , and €10,000 per year for private schools. There's no need wasting your resources on a private school because almost all top schools in are public and is not crazy about reputation like the US. All schools are standard.
3. You'll need a block of €11,208. You'll be able to access €934 from it monthly when you get to . It's called block because you'll "block" it in a German . An alternative to this is to use a sponsorship letter. It's a letter given to you by someone working in who can afford to pay the €934 to you after his/her own monthly expenses. Each city have there requirements.
Consider the above before you think of

here you go, Note that the blocked figure is outdated, please check Hannaniahs recent response for the updated figures
Here is the part 8
An incredible job by all contributors including those who ask questions and those who provide answers, job well done!
This is part 7 https://nairaland.macsoftware.info/5296943/general-german-student-visa-enquiries
The following steps will help newbies (Thanks to CassieV for the tips)
Most of the schools in are tuition free even for international students, you only get to pay a certain amount as semester fees say between 100-400 euros and most times the semester fee comes with a semester ticket to aid in transportation in your city or town.
However, before you're granted a student visa, you have to prove that you can take care of your living expenses with one of the following means ;
1. Block : The estimated living expenses for a student in a month is 720euros, when you multiply that by 12 months, you get 8640euros. This is the amount you're required to block in an already opened with either Deutsch bank, Fintiba or Xpatrio. It is called a block because you will not be able to withdraw everything at once, only 720euros will be released to you every month.
2. Sponsorship letter: If you have a relative living and working legally in , they can get you this letter. They'll have to visit the alien office in their city and will be required to provide some documents and pay a certain fee. The letter will be sent to you when they receive it so that you can go with it for your visa interview.
3. Scholarship: This is usually the best if you have the scholarship, your visa will be granted in under 2 weeks after interview. So try and look for scholarships you can apply to.
Now that you understand the financial situation, let's go into the application process.
To search for schools, click on this link https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/?p=l&q=&fos=0&lang[]=2&fee[]=0&sortBy=1&page=1&display=list
filter your search to make it easier, there are English taught courses there.
Generally, the very important documents needed to apply to schools in are;
1. Transcript
2. English Proficiency
3. School Certificates (Degree, Waec, etc)
However, depending on the school, some other documents needed are as follows.
4. Curriculum Vitae
5. Motivation letter
6. Reference letters
7. GRE test
8. Etcetera.. Visit your prospective school website and find out the documents they need from you.
Note: You don't apply with your original documents, you have to make photocopies of them and Certify them in High court or a Notary public. If you stay in Lagos, you can certify at the German Embassy too. You'll have to book appointment for that.
For those planning to go for a Bachelors course, you need a 100level transcript from a university to apply for a BSc program in . WAEC alone will not be enough and No, OND will not do, you need a HND.
For the application proper, it is always important to go through the website of the schools you want to apply to, you'll get a lot of information form there concerning how to apply. Some schools do only online applications, some requires that you send your application documents to them by post after applying online, some you send your documents as pdf to their email address and then you get the uni assist crew.
Like I said earlier, it is important to go visit and read the websites.
When you get your ission letter, open a block immediately(that is if you don't already have a sponsorship letter) and as soon as you get your details, send an email to the embassy requesting for a visa interview date.
You need these to get an interview date:
1. ission letter
2. Block /sponsorship letter/scholarship letter
3. International port data page(scanned)
Then your Full name and Resident address.
Prepare for your interview
Go for your interview
For newbies your German school search starts here https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/en/

Hi thank you so much for your response normally I have no issues with the visa appointment period, again since I only have WAEC cert. Can I apply to their (public) University directly?
Cause normally I can save upto €7k and I think I can manage it while hustling for more over there (flight and Visa application money apart) and again since the situation is like this now what's your advice in of Applying for ission so that it can match with the Appointment time So that the ission won't be revoked thanks for your time

For the Block stuff is there anyway we can by this like in the case of proof of funds, Is there a way an agent can or some sort of person can help with the sponsorship letter and get paid?

You can't get direct ission with your WAEC in . You need a 100l result from any school.
Secondly, is not like the UK for POF. I explained it to you above. Go and read it again. As for sponsorship letter, you're ideally meant to get it from someone you know because you have to prove your relationship with the person. If you do other wise and get scammed or whatnot, you're on your own. I'll advise you stop asking such questions online. It can be detrimental and possibly ruin your chances. Good luck

Alright thank you so much, I have someone over there I will try to communicate with him ASAP
Again pls you didn't answer my question about when to apply for ission so that it won't be revoked because of late appointment, should I book the appointment and then wait a little before applying for ission like when it's like 4 months or 5 to go?

please stop misleading people , you can get ission with only your waec result in , don't listen to anybody trying to change your mind as long as you haven't got any degree and you want to go for a BSc course your waec certificate is enough i have a friend who got itted recently BSc and she used her waec online what are you saying
Lol, It's always I have a friend. BSC ission in requires 100 level transcript as NECO and WAEC are not sufficient for direct ission. If you're one of those agents, I advise you avoid this thread.
For all the newbies, use DAAD.de and Uni-assist to check for ission requirements.

Not convenient. Train connection to Weiden from Augsburg takes longer time. If you have morning lectures, it would be difficult to arrive early.
If you can get accommodation in Munich, it would be best. Train connection from Munich Central Station(Hauptbahnhof) is better and you can arrive early for lectures too. From Munich you have a straight connection unlike from Augsburg. Also you have a better chance of getting a better part-time job in Munich than in Augsburg. Munich is a bigger city than Augsburg. There are numerous jobs for students.

Hey guys. I’m really confused now cause I didn’t know German appointment dates takes long until a friend sent me a link of this thread which I went through from the beginning till now. I’ve been itted to university of Bremen and I’ve paid my semester fees because if I didn’t pay within two weeks, the ission would be given to someone else. I’m planning to apply for the deutchland scholarship so as to use it as a means of moving to category A.
I’m confused and don’t know what to do since appointment date takes so long now.
And what other things can be done to fasten the appointment date if there’s no scholarship cause have paid semester fees.
Anyone itted to university of Bremen here please can we link up so as to serve as guide please?
Would be needing you guys advice please cause I’m scared. Was thinking I would be able to resume October this year

I know some students that school at Deggendorf and work in Munich. It takes 2hrs from Munich Hauptbahnhof to get to Deggendorf.
For Regensburg, there is a good connection from Munich Central Station. Depends on the time the train leaves, sometimes it is less than 2hrs. It is a straight connection without needing to switch trains.
Nuremberg has a connection to Munich Central Station via Ingolstadt. Sometimes, you may need to change train at Ingolstadt. Many student who study in OTH Weiden and Amberg lives in Nuremberg. ICE trains are the fastest in this route. If you can secure issions in any university or college in Nuremberg, you can get a decent student job in Nuremberg. All the best!
