The Borno State Police Command has confirmed the death of Prof. Ruth Haruna Wazis, former Head of the Department of Business Management, University of Maiduguri, who tragically ed away in an accident at her home.

The State Commissioner of Police, Yusuf Lawal who disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said the incident occurred on Sunday, June 30, 2024.

Lawal said that the Prof. was parking her car in her garage when a sudden mechanical malfunction caused the vehicle to accelerate unexpectedly, knocking her on the ground and stepping her chest.

He said that she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries before being taken to the hospital. The police boss added that her remains were taken to the hospital by of her family.

The story makes no sense. How can one be parking a car and still get knocked down by the car? Until a family member who was at home at the time tells his/her story, this one sounds like a conjecture to cover up something.

I back then a neighbor car well packed and little gal was playing in front of the car mysteriously the car moved and knocked the gal down. That's how she died at her parent house.

She was parking the vehicle meaning she was inside how come the car knocked her down and even stepped on her chest.

So sad, maybe if she has been well paid, she would have been able able to afford a better car.
