The pain of every brand owner. This country doesn't take copy right and piracy laws serious. Funny enough 95 percent of commodities in the market are fake. Everyone has at one point or the other used a knockoff of the original in this country from fashion to drinks to appliances to cosmetics to accessories to mention but a few.

The day I began to fear this people was the 2013 nations cup we played against Burkina Faso. The following morning, CD highlights of that match were already littering alaba

This is absolutely not fair. We can’t grow as a nation like this, we need to seriously drop some of these habits most especially counterfeiting.

Nigeria is actually a lawless land. Piracy is killing creativity and innovation in this country, imagine you work hard and spent resources for a creative item than some people somewhere will clone it and even release it to the public before you launch your 's. For the creative industry to grow the government must stop or reduce piracy to the bare minimum

In Nigeria, only businesses backed by government-connected oligarchs seem to thrive. Small businesses face immense challenges and are often crushed as soon as they launch their products.

Despite having three arms of government to provide and enforce legislature, we lack proper protection for proprietary or intellectual property rights.

They rather use the police to empower 2 emirs in kano. Than arrest counterfeiters and pirates.

However if you start a refinery or cement factory without the governments permission, they will send the whole Nigerian armed forces after you in 24 hours.

You could spend 20 years perfecting a product or service, but the moment you try to monetize it, counterfeiters can destroy your hard work in just 24 hours. This lack of protection is a major hurdle for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Not that other people don't know how to produce fake type of other people sweat they are not just criminally minded.

That was how they packaged one man that worked under Abacha as NPA chairman, later mentored by a man certified by his boss obasanjo as thief ATIKU,betrayed ojukwu his greatest benefactor to send APGA to oblivion,a political prostitute (APGA,PDP&LP) ,a religious bigot (yes daddy&wake up take back your country) and a man who invested state money in a bank he has interest,Fidelity bank as being descent and saint for some magas and mugus. They white washed him for the fools and gullible,as per the way they package fake electronics ?
