I doubt if there is any charging station in Nigeria. I'm sure people are working on that project and I'm also waiting to hear the cost and the materials used.
I guess people are charging their electric cars at home now using PV and NEPA light.

there is a charging station in apo next to dansville plaza after apo Bridge... Its inside one government auto office..... There is another one in jabi lake mall... That one six cars can charge at the same time.... There is another one in wuse 2 near exclusive Stores.... Its inside a restaurant... Sterling bank have one in lagos... Every House with socket is a potential charge point... It may be slow but its still cheaper than petrol

One good thing this whole fuel crisis is going to do for us is eventual uncoupling or reduced dependence on fuel, at least for the transportation sector. It may look impossible, but it is doable.

I forsee an EV/solar energy company producing vehicles suitable for our market, especially as regards budget. It will definitely open up new opportunities as well.

Your MPPT want go sleep as night don come. It is normal thing when there is sun set. Get a clamp meter to confirm if it charging from your MPPT .. Ciao

before GSM, naija electricity infrastructure was not the best.. But we went from 2G...3G...5G....some people that never used landline, never used nokia torchlight with 2G...there first phone na 5G...serious jumping if you ask me... Electric cars will thrive without waiting for proper infrastructure trust me.

Though the pv Voc is unknown but I believe it should fall within the range of 51v to 53v, 8s2p config should be your best config.
Just as Dam5reey earlier said, I still suggest buying the hybrid inverter first and going through the manual before buying the pv will help us to know the best configuration that will yield better result for the system. Hybrid inverters are designed differently....

11A cannot give u 11A consider losses. Just do the two parallel end up getting near 18 to 19A. U guys that are doing this high voltage series should give us with inductive loads...how many Ac's were they able to power without battery during the day with 11 to 13A PV or more.

They are the same. The issue of lifespan can only be considered when you factor in maintenance culture, quality of products like Quanta and Full river batteries gotten from an authorized dealers and not from the Alaba boys.

Power is power, regardless of voltage/current split.

My inverter is limited to 13A, my PVs max out at 11.5A, but I don't think I've ever gotten more than 9A in the real world.

Still I run a 1 HP inverter AC in the afternoon comfortably without the inverter drawing any power from my battery.

but an electric car buyer, should first of all have a good means of charging the car.. that means lots of millions spent on an efficient solar setup!

I've done this before and it ended in tears. I did parallel Longi 450W with 11.60A Isc. The Growatt will be working fine until sun hits it's peak and it sees 22A and then enters into error mode and shut down after 3 minutes or so

Glad you later got one. This thing is a joy. Upgraded my battery to LiFePo4. No more drop in speed as experienced with Lion when the battery is getting low.
