Marriage is your best and fastest option, for everyone sef. The most viable option for a Nigerian is NIW. If a law student (https://twitter.com/ImadeIyamu), not yet a grad o, can be approved, then it is possible for anyone else. Just begin the process immediately you land in the US.

And graduate students especially PhD students. Try and publish papers too in high reputable journals. EB1/EB2 category seem like a good alternative to PR in the USA.

I think the profile you quoted had an MBA from CBS first

lol. Plot twist: I had a first class hon in chemical engineering (unilag). And my MSc from the United States.

I’m the last person you wanna treat like this

That shows how rotten our schools are if na with that kind English you take graduate from university. Na wa o..

Reading your other posts, it is highly doubtful that you graduated from UNILAG. You no even sabi Lagos. I sure say na one bush university you finish from. Those universities wey lecturer go dey tabon up and down come dey collect egunje from students.

Who dash you Msc from US? You wey never comot Naija for your life? Keep dreaming boy…

Journals like AlChE, ACS catalysis, nature chemistry, materials horizon etc are reputable journals for ChmE.

Yes, for science students, paper publication is important, but not compulsory. To correct you, EB1/EB2 is an alternative route to PR than H1B. The end game is PR, then naturalisation. Nothing can be an alternative to PR.

Although, the school's calibre might contribute, but work experiences matter most and how one's lawyer presents the case.

Yeah. If one gets published in any of these journals, say Semiconductor Materials or Advanced Biotech, getting approved would not be a problem. Wetin surprise me na why those tech workers who got retrenched did not opt for this option as a means to remain in the US after their studies rather than depend on tumbo-tumbo H1B

Yes. It really is a surer game of luck than the highly competitive H1B. You might not hire a lawyer, but sometimes last month I consulted someone who’s very vast with helping people file their EB1/EB2 paperwork, and he quoted around $4000 for me, na the amount scare me.

You can ask your specific question here or send a DM. If you are sending a DM, I would prefer a call so we can spend less time.

For medical degree in your university how much is the tuition fee.

Also what job would you advice someone that is studying medicine to do?
A
From working as a cook to construction work. You can do anything that is legal.
.
180,000 rubles a year for medicine. The beauty of it is that in Russia you can pay your school fees monthly or anyhow you want it. The federal government is quite lenient with foreign students.
Roughly that is about 2m a year in naira.

Okay.
I want to still ask, can one get a job after studies in russia?
.
Well personally I would prefer to move to Africa after studies and work for 'doctors without borders' in poor countries. But yes if you have good grades the government will gladly give you a job. Even while studying...job dey

What are the things I need to have/do to ensure I have a competitive profile for a scholarship in a non-stem masters?
Simply put, what makes a competitive profile?

That is a steal. The average is $10K, which isn't necessarily what the busiest or top lawyers request. Even on the NL thread, 6K is the lowest I have seen.

Grab that offer, sir!

I don't know about that, but consider this:
1.) There are parts of the US where no one wants to live/work/study/visit. Now, these aren't dangerous places or places full of trashy people. They just don't have much going on, low population, sprawled resources, and the job market there isn't the greatest. But, they still have opportunities. And it's a bit easier to get to the US if you're willing to work/study there. There's also the potential to get a higher salary because these companies know no one wants to be there.

2.) If you have the stomach for it, there are also work opportunities in remote areas in the US and Canada. Basically, Alaska, oil fields, mining, fishing, nurses/doctors/etc, and the tiny wilderness towns of Canada. These pay very well and aren't that hard to get. They'll train you, and there's a variety of positions. However, with most of these jobs, you're doing very long days, and in some cases, dangerous and/or strenuous work. But it's not like these jobs are all terrible. It's just not something the average person usually wants.

3.) Nigerians can the US military. I don't know the details, so you'll have to speak with a recruiter and talk to other Nigerians that have gone through the process. It's not for everyone, but it's definitely a good opportunity, and they're having a hard time recruiting right now, so your chances of getting in are better. You basically earn citizenship through service, and just as important, you get great benefits, free education, and valuable experience. You could turn it into a full career and retire well. Also, the military takes care of its families, so if you have a spouse and kids, it could be awesome, but again, I'm not sure of how this works for immigrants.

That said, you really need to be careful and do your research.

Once you step your feet out of this current Nigeria, you'll realize only the sky is the limit. May God help and bless our country too.

I travelled to Russia by applying to a school that only accepts payment on arrival. That way all I had to do was send my documents, they sent my visa invite, I went to the embassy, got my visa (proof of funds not needed for Russia) booked my flight (280k to Moscow as of two years ago) and came to Russia. You can reach out. Will gladly offer more info. Russia is beautiful and the people are nice towards foreigners.

Hello bro how can I get in with you, I'm currently at the stage of processing my Russian study visa, I really don't wanna use an agent, can you help me out by how to go about the whole process please. Thank you
