For me fuel Consumption is still fair for my 4cyl engine even with A/C on, from Ibadan to Ilorin and back (just about 1 full tank (about 65ltr) ).

do a tune up ie change spark plug, coils, mass airflow, air filter, clean throttle body, change fuel filter that is you have the fund, check for air leak, fuel injector leak.

Pls I need solution and help on my Honda Civic 06 American spec

I bought a new engine a month ago.... I notice if I drove my Car for few mins or accelerates , they engine light we start blinking which will result to my car movement slow each times it comes up... So I took they car to my electrical, lastweek scanned it, which it show's 1, 3 and 4 cylinder error.. I was told to buy new plug which, I did and it seems to be worst, so I have to changed back to they tok plug they engine comes with... So I took they car to mechanic which he confirm that my 4 coil and plug are all Good...!! But I can't enjoy a smooth drive


Pls right now I'm really worried... !! Any suggestion or something else to looking into ... And does this issue has anything to do all with my bainbox

Pls I'm stranded and loss of thoughts they engine is barely a month old

Pls anyone with similar experience or solution should pls help

Blinking Check light is misfire which is fix by change of plug and or change of coil packs. Original china plug is 3500 for a pair, it may have increased now so probably the plugs you bought is low quality or fake.

In your report cylinder 2 didn't show up, you need to buy ur own scanner if you can then remove cylinder 2 plug and coil and switch around individually for 1,3 and 4 and see whether the error is still in those cylinder. If no error means your issue is plug or coil, if cylinder 2 accessories still shows error in those other cylinder then engine is the culprit or another thing.

Now Rescan vehicle and collect all codes, you could have ignition issues causing those misfire

You have 3 cylinders misfire but only attended to two, if one cylinder misfire the engine light will blink, acceleration response will be low and exhaust fumes notice in cabin with black soot in exhaust. Also extreme vibration at stops.

Just scan the car now let's work with the codes, personal scanners start from 7k upwards

I need tips on how reduce and manage fuel usage for my Toyota Highlander. The fuel consumption is fair now since I changed the o2 sensors, air filter and fuel pump.

But something still tells that gas milage/consumption is high. I just got it and have been driving a v4 Honda before now

There is no magic to fuel reduction though, manufacturers stat is for new cars, your car has gone through alot of wear and tear so fuel economy is reduced.

Also the fuel sold in Nigeria has a bad octane rating which burns quickly while delivering less energy to engine. Your best bet is to sell the highlander and buy a smaller car with better mpg than the highlander

Reduce weight, remove all the chairs, radio, AC component, extra tire, jack, wheel spanner also never buy full tank but quater tank. With all these removed, your fuel mpg will improve

Since it's a status car, you shouldn't bother about the mpg na. It's all part of the status and symbol.

U can't get factory mpg. Once car gets to naija and naija engine oil,brake oil,petrol enter. Forget. Na wohala upon wohala. U go hail. Despite all my tweaks,02 sensors and all my engine still runs rich and na minus 6mpg fron 22mpg City...now I'm on half tank today. From 7pins to full tank. Na half tank

P0113 -intake air temperature sensor is either faulty or cable broken or disconnected. Could also be triggered by P0102

P0102- Mass air flow sensor faulty or cable broken or disconnected. Could also be clean and reinstalled.

P0420- either catalyst is stolen or evap canister issue. You can ignore

P0016- could mean your oil level is not up to guage, dirty oil, vvt solenoid clogged with gum or sludge, or timing not properly set.

I believe your engine has been worked on.

Hope you are no having hard starting

Okay, how is the fuel consumption? Most times there is no need for replacement. Could be removed, cleaned and replaced.

let's talk about this fuel economy sef... right now i don't even know if my car is consuming fuel or not.. i reset the trip Odo and got 300... after buy fuel tank... or let's say 45litres because my tank is 50 litres... is that good or bad.. also I'm not sure if my odo is miles or km... so it's confusing...
