Security is not that good in Abuja. There is a very high rate of kidnapping and one chance robbery in the city. To be safe avoid taxis as much as possible. Use Bolt. Uber or the big buses

Abuja is one of the best place to live in the country, but as you're coming be prepared for the little challenges ahead trying to navigate and get a means of earning high that can equally sustain you in the city.
