hmmm ...well I happen to like a lot of names. here's mine in a preferential order: for boys: Abdallah, Abdulrahman, Muhammad, Uthman, Abdulkabir, Umar(BT will call him farouk)..... for girls: Hauwa (cos my grandma is Hauwa, my mum is Hauwa and I'm Hauwa. will lyk to keep the tradition alive...), Aisha, Maryam, Khadija, Asiya.... So many names so few children....

This is very wrong. Why must your children's name be Arabic? There is nothing like a Muslim name. You can be named "Oluwatobi" (God is great) and still be a good Muslim. Why can't you give them names in your own African language? This sounds like mental slavery and colonial mentality 1 Like |
