On the study permit form , the part that you will fill amount of your tuition , rooms&board nd amount available for your stay in Canada . Is it amount for one year I should input there or calculation of the total amount for all d years of my study in Canada .

I have gotten ission already which I have paid my tuition fees before I received a message on my email from IRCC for my visitor visa I have applied for since 2021.

You cannot study or work with a visitor visa. If you want to take a program longer than six months, you must apply for a study permit. Now, having JUST a visitor visa does not make you eligible to apply from inside Canada. To be eligible to apply from inside Canada, you must meet specific criteria; one such requirement is completing a course or program that is a prerequisite to securing a school ission to a DLI. In this case, you must use IMM 5709 instead of IMM 1294 (assuming you are using the gckey to apply).

To avoid the issue of digression and establish relevance to your present occupation, go for a program related to your current employment. For example, if you are self-employed, business programs like Supply Chain, logistics, Management etc., fit perfectly.

Another challenge I have is. My opening balance on Feb first is about 8m. Then on 1st Feb. I moved about 2m from my money market fund and my other savings to my salary where the 8m was. cos I wanted all the money to be in one place.(I can explain that by printing my money market fund and my other savings statement) but since then. Apart from small small money going into the . 100k here, 70k there. Most bulk money entering my is one time I loaned a friend 1m. He paid back after say 2 weeks. I loaned someone else 600k. please don’t let this people with their bogus bank statement and LOE weigh you down. All applications are NOT the same . Before I got my own approval, Naira land almost gave me depression cause I felt I could have shown more ore done more meanwhile all I needed to do was use what I have and EXPLAIN EXPLAIN EXPLAIN truthfully. My MBS bank statement was just a page , my other ing bank was a page with lump ass sums. I explained it all. I had already submitted my application when I fully discovered nairaland. And I was already thinking of how I’ll make my application bogus and good the second time not knowing I’ll get it once ! Please use what you have, explain it as long as the money is there, don’t use fake doc and don’t put money in your acc suspiciously. My own money has been sitting in my acc for two years with little or no inflow and outflow. Then two weeks before I submitted my application I started telling my customers to send me money via bank transfer. I’d taught that one sef go raise flag but no!
Like I said, if you have the money in your acc, explain the source. Back it up with proof if you can and if not, back up a lil atleast or just explain it.

1. You submit application firstly before booking appointment for biometrics. After submission of application, a letter will be sent to you which you will print out along with appointment letter and other stuffs for the biometrics


2. Getting an appointment day biometrics isn't much of an issue unlike medical appointment. But recently there has been delay in receiving biometric letter after submission probably due to the strike though it has been called off now. Once you get that biometrics letter after submission, you can get appointment date within next 2-3 days if there is no weekend or public holiday in BTW.


3. Yes. Go ahead and submit your application. If medical request from irrc comes before May 30th, then you wait till may 30th for your medical and they will send your result to irrc cos you wud have gone for the medical with a request letter from irrc. However, if there is no medical request before may 30, u still honor your appointment and keep your medical sheet pending when medical request drops in your portal.

Please my friend got a port request for visitors visa. he applied since 2021 and he resides in Enugu, how does he send his port to the canadian embassy for the final decision.
the port he applied with has expired so he got new port. can he submit the old one too or just the new one.

Yes, I've gotten my study permit.

I explained how my interest in the graduate certificate course had developed since childhood.
During my bachelor's degree, I took out time learning a bit about the program. Also, after my master's program, I took some online courses relating to the program (I had Udemy certificates to back up my claim).

Also, my current line of work aligns with my choice of course. So I noted how the post graduate certificate will help me get better at my job.

Someone with a masters can go for a lower level of education if the person can justify it. Is Big Data Analytics an area of specialization in Information Tech? Is the program not redundant, considering he has masters in Information Tech? To stand a chance, he must address such concerns in his SoP by discussing job requirements, identifying the gap in his education and, like a puzzle, showing the VO how the intended program fits perfectly

My Canadian study permit got rejected yesterday as the VO stated on the refusal letter that “Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to the stated purpose of travel for yourself”. Please Gurus in the house help me out, I just turned 28yrs last month. I graduated 2018 and did my Nysc 2019. I have been assisting my mom who’s my sponsor in her business ever since graduation which is in IMO state but I relocated to Abuja last year but I don’t have official employment and I have been using my Abuja address in all application (school application and upfront medicals). Now my question is how do I go about employment history for the past one year but I have a friend who has a business Registration and he’s willing to stand as my employer but his business dose no long have a physical address as it has been occupied by someone else because he has relocated to the UK for studies too. Should I still go ahead to use him as my employer or what should I do ?

My brother got requested for medical without adding SOP to his application, he was guided by someone though , just sponsorship letter , good career progression with Bsc and Nysc certificate ,he did not even submit his own statement , only sponsor, that’s all and boom they cleared him to go for medical and he is 27years old .

Bro there are no Gurus or experts here, ppl can only comment according to their own personal experience or what they can relate to. Am sure you wouldn't want to receive a wrong information, so just keep dropping reminder hopefully someone that is sure will respond to you.

Also you are asking a generic broad questions. Like what are the factors that help visa application. Ofcourse it's very strong SOP, enough proof of funds and explanation to lump sums if any with evidence to back up, career progression linking your current job activities and the course you want to study and course you studied previously and finally home ties to show you will come back after your study.

For pof, you need to know the tuition per year. If it's a 1 year course, u add the tuition to living expenses of 10k to 12k CAD, add 4k miscellaneous. The total shud be covered in your proof of funds.

If you provide documents to effectively cover those 4 factors I mentioned above then your application will be well coveted and boosted.

As for the last line, what's the tuition fee, add up with the living expenses, only then will you know if your dad closing balance can cover for your proof of funds. Also if your dad is sponsoring you, it will be better he transfers the whole money to your acct and you do a gift deed to explain the lump sum. If the money must remain in your dad acct and you intend to submit his statement of acct, then ne ready to also give explanations of any possible lump sums in his acct as well as provide explanation to his source of income. If he is an employee then info about his job will be needed Like pay slip, employment emolument, etc. If he owns his business, then CAC, receipts, invoices etc will likely be needed as visa officer will need to be sure the said amount will be indeed be available for your study.

Finally, almost everything I wrote here are things I read on this platform so if you take your time to read like last 20 pages, u will likely see similar case to yours with responses provided.
