You might not even like the career outcome of an MPH especially if you’re not a provider (MD/DO/PA/NP). A relative told me it is better career wise and financially to pursue an MHA then an MPH. Your goals may even change completely.

Left to me, I just want to face Environmental Health..HSE, Toxicology..the works. But I feel doing that under the MPH provides more options to branch out, while keeping me relevant in the health industry. Of course, I'd be lying if I said I have it all figured out now, but I am no way close to where I was, when I was considering only that Kinesiology. I just pray that everything will pan out as smoothly as will make me content, God abeg.

With 4years of undergrad, 4years of medical school,3-8years of residency and 1-3 optional fellowship with hundreds of thousands in student loans, it isn’t feasible to not practice medicine and spend extra on a Masters. MHA is like MBA but for hospital management. I do not believe fields like environmental health and toxicology sell in the US. You should also consider jobs that provide sponsorships which I know for a fact are very difficult and competitive to come by for MPH. The relative I was talking about had to get into an Accelerated BSN program fast taking out thousands of loans after OPT was almost ending and no jobs.

I’d recommend you consider Bio-Sciences PhD programs or get into a Nursing Program even if you want to get into an Environment health position. You will be better qualified for such role as an RN(With a BSN) with or without an MPH than those non clinical bachelors.

Like I said earlier, her option was under engineering rather than MPH, but I strongly believe that it is inter-related, and you can be able to navigate your way in the said course.

For funding, it is very highly possible especially if you get GA (Graduate adsisstanship ) which will help you to defray the small remaining portion of your school fees if not offered full funding (exactly same route she took if I can recollect correctly when she said so in this thread). Just reach across to the Madam. she can give you a pointer especially since she would be graduating from there this Fall.

This Biomechanics ehnn....well, all path na path to living the American dream for some people, though. Otherwise, courses like this, are just traps waiting to ensnare people in a never ending circle of master programs.
Biomechanics...Exercise Science..Exercise Physiology.... Kinesiology...even Sport science..are tied with the same rope and are all one chance. The school even dared to ask for 3.0..lol. Just like Romance Language programs will attract people with funding, then what happens after school...? You act love without language.

My brother, Public Health oo. With a concentration in Environmental Health...every sensible organisation get environmental department. So no hospital can condition me, which I doubt is even an issue in the US. I also applied to one Health Informatics... so I fit follow enjoy tech money small...if them give me funding quick. If they don't, it won't still be bad. I can continue on that path if I desire later. God blessing my efforts, everything go pure. I wish others well too.

I have not sent transcript to wes before, but I have sent a hard copy of my official transcript to a school using DHL. Their processing time is fast and mine delivered within 3 days (their average time is 5-7 days including weekdays and weekends) to the school. If you decide to use DHL, try to pay before you apply for transcript. I paid #10,300 to DHL.
