I and my husband applied for UK visa and submitted on 17th Jan ( this Tuesday) . Yesterday evening 19th Jan he got a refusal mail stating he had other funds in his whose sources were not disclosed which isn’t true. My husband owns a business and pays himself salaries, the extra credits were explained in a 2 page cover Letter and attached to the statement of he submitted. Infact to make sure they didn’t miss out the letter, we stated in the extra information part of the form that they should come out for the detailed explanation letter

So reviewing his application in a day and sending a refusal stating there was no explanation for the funds makes no sense to me. Although I’m yet to get their mail but it would likely be refused as well as my husband was to sponsor my trip. We have been to schenghen area and thought that should count in our favor as well but it didn’t

Pls house what do you advise? Is it best to reapply immediately and tackle the fact that they didn’t do proper review of our application or we should allow it slide?

No, i didn't declare my personal as savings. I only declared the balance on the savings i intended to use for travel.

I think you applied for priority application and that’s why it was treated so fast. Next, cover letter is your word against anyone else’s.. it’s not enough yo write a letter as anyone can claim anything. everything with paper evidence that is proof that you are telling the truth. Did you supply receipts, invoices, letter headed documents,memos, contracts etc to show all these debits and credits origin?

The total in your accrued from your earnings is not classified as other income or savings. Except you have other deposits in the same aside your salary, which of course you have to justify with evidence.

The first application got refused on the 9th of December. Made the necessary correction with the help of the wonderful people here and reapplied.

My mum is absolutely buzzing. Hahaha

She can the airline company or agency she used to change the dates of her flights, but that will come with an additional cost.

To stay on the safer side, she can put a much later date because of UKVI protocol

You should know that your Nigeria card can’t do international transactions, fund your dom acct and use dom ATM or use flatter wave

You can still apply now - considering their turnaround time these days.

No need to do that. Just apply with it as it's still over 6mths to expiration. All the best.
