•Promises to tackle devastating poverty in north

•Maintains ethnic agitations products of failed leadership

The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, yesterday said Nigeria’s Presidency with him and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, in charge would dismantle inefficiency and eliminate transactional policies that breed corruption in government.

He once more appealed to Nigerians to give him the opportunity to set the country on the path of progress and unity.

The former Anambra State Governor, who spoke at Chatham House in the United Kingdom, also hinted on how he would address the high level of poverty in country, especially northern part of the country where it is more prevalent.
Fielding questions from Nigerians at the session, Obi said equity, justice and fairness would solve the problem of agitations in the country, noting that his istration would prioritise securing Nigeria by first engaging all aggrieved groups in the country for talks.

He noted that improving security, agriculture and education would be some of his top targets for the region.

He said: “Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come. I am asking you to give us an opportunity to have a better Nigeria.”
The LP presidential candidate also vowed to increase Nigeria’s electricity generation and distribution capacity by declaring war on the power sector if elected president next month.

He said: “We are going to turn around the power sector. Nigeria today generates about 5,000 megawatts for 200 million people and South Africa, the second biggest in of economy on the continent, 60 million people, generates over 40,000 megawatts, yet, they have declared an emergency in the power sector.
“If a country with 60 million population generating over 40,000MW is declaring emergency on power, what do you think somebody with 200 million people generating between 5,000MW and 6,000MW will do? I am going to declare war on power and I will solve it. Anybody who stands on the way, so be it.”

Talk is cheap!
Governance is not an academic exercise of reeling out known problems without specific practicable solutions.

As you can observed, I'm not naive and short sighted like most of Obi's headless mob who can't reason critically.

I've taken my time to assess Obi with an open mind. All I can see about him is just an average man both in intellect, competence and capacity.
He lacks the tactfulness and resourcefulness to turn around the multifaceted challenges bewildering the county.

He's just hustling to bear the name (Mr. President) and to file in for perceived ethnic gap.

I don't need to guess much about the outcome or outlook of Obi's presidency cos the tree can easily be recognized by it fruit.

First, I am happy OBI has cleared the mess left behind by one old presidential candidate that cannot answer questions himself but assign it to people. Obi has shown that Nigeria will be great again at the Chatam House.

Mumu which structure this one have sense ba? We are talking of good governance you are talking of mere political party structure.

You are a former governor you don't have single person that can vouch for your leadership spirit. You don't help ,you don't build human capacity only you and your family.

Can a man pull himself down? Obi is part of the structure he wants to pull down, because defecting to Labour Party from PDP does not cleanse him from his past deeds. Check this out:

Most times, people think Buhari alone dragged Nigeria backwards not knowing that it is the same APC gangs that are still campaigning for Tinubu today.

This same gang will still fill up Tinubu cabinets if elected and the suffering continues in 3D format.

You can't be crying of hunger in this regime and still go ahead and vote APC again.

I've told you that every party has an Ideology irrespective of who is there, this is why you vote for parties during election and not the individuals!

Lol, he can only deceive Zombidients.
As far as I know Buhari is more incorruptible than this Pandora stingy liar and his former party PDP. I agree he's doing the destruction to PDP .
APC is the real revolution , this Buhari wanna be should just decamp to APC already to learn . Man is copying all APC is doing , from Buhari anti corruption campaign to Siemens deal , to copying Tinubu teamship .

Truly Obi is an aspiring low budget Buhari.

Thank you Obi for cleaning up Tinubu's mess. This town hall was definitely different from Balablue!

I know Atiku will not like this, but you have got to do it for Nigerians.

When he speaks, you have no reason than to pay apt attention and just watch him do what he says.
We don’t need another government that’s only known for peddling lies and empty promises. Talk they say is cheap.
It would be glaring to the eyes come February 25th when we compartmentalize sane nigerians from the one who are just used to the suffering.

You know nothing about governance. The reason Pitoobi failed to conduct local government election when he was the governor is because he doesn't believe in Team Spirit. He is a dictator and has failed to.build a formidable Team. A tree does not make a forest, you need a Team and it takes a real leader to know that.
