That is another angle...didn't realize he overthrew his own uncle.

Na wa o!

Yes he did.

Obiang's uncle, Francisco Macías Nguema was the first president of Equatorial Guinea from the country's independence in 1968 until his overthrow in 1979. He declared himself himself president for life in 1972,
and is widely ed as one of the most brutal dictators in history.

On 03Aug1979, he was overthrown in a bloody coup d'état by his nephew Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and was subsequently tried and executed.

You are wrong. When he was governor nobody in his family was in any position. He brought igbo man and hausa to his cabinet. Shidren of hate stop telling lies. Tinubu developed Lagos. GDP of lagos is more than 5 times Equitorial Guinea despite their oil. Lagos is fastest growing economy in Africa. That cannot be a result of nepotism. Its a result of hard work and getting the right people do the job. That’s what Tinubu is known for.

The achievements of Tinubu while he was governor of Lagos are not in doubt.

The burning question today is whether or not he currently has the capacity to radically and effectively lead Nigeria out of the morass of insecurity, corruption, nepotism and under-development which the country finds itself?

Experience is the best teacher and best currency to take to market. Let us not use those who failed to lift their states or the country out, to help Nigeria at yhis trying times. Those people are not team players like Tinubu. Tinubu relies much on a well selected first eleven to deliver his vision. That’s what we need in Nigeria. Have you seen anyone who worked at highest level with Obi coming out to him? Have you seen his former deputy Governor or commissioners going around with him? No! Because Obi is not a team player, and he is not a mentor of good leaders. Same with Atiku. But look around Tinubu and you will see the cream of people he has worked with. They are all with him everywhere. That speaks volume on the character and quality of leadership Tinubu has. That’s what we need in Nogeria now.

The 2023 elections are almost upon us.

Everyone should collect their PVCs and ensure to vote those candidates they believe can make Nigeria better...not based on tribal or religious sentiment.

The first step for citizen participation in the political process is to collect your PVC.

Your vote is your power to choose your leaders.

Fellow Nairalanders, let's go and collect our PVCs!

It would be very strange to sincerely congratulate someone with Obiang's type of record.

Read this man's bio and it was by far the worst I have ever read of a modern day leader or any in the past.

The discovery of offshore oil wells has really buoyed his power grip .

That mullato homosexual bastard even invited him to the WH.

Equatorial Guinea was founded as a Spanish slave colony using imported Igbo slaves .

The vast majority of the people including this man are descended from Igbo slaves.

This is a sneak peek into what an OSU republic would look like and if Biafra had come to , the orangutan Ojukwu might still have been ruling them after committing numerous purges like this cretin.
You seem to have 1 digit IQ,and tribalism has eaten deep into your brain for you to neglect reasoning and logic, also this is the vast majority ethnic group and not the mental incapabilities you displayed here....

I've always wondered why there is so much inter-tribal vitriol on this forum...

... One would expect our fellow denizens to be more concerned about pressing issues of vital importance!

We are not that different from Equatorial Guineans.

They have stuck with one oppressor while we rotate ours. See?

So his son is also the vice president or I'm I missing something?

The citizens of that country should be ashamed of themselves for allowing President Obiang and his family to rule over them for the past 43yrs...

You haven't missed anything.

Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue (born 25 June 1968), nicknamed Teodorín, has been Vice President of Equatorial Guinea since 2016.

He is a son of Teodoro Obiang (president of Equatorial Guinea) by his first wife, Constancia Mangue.

Coincidentally, the late Omar Bongo was also accused of corruption.

In fact, between March and April this year, 4 of his children were charged in with embezzlement and corruption.

Africa does have them!

Na small country na. If Nigeria were an empire, we would have invaded that island.

We still can mate. We don't need to be an empire. You and I with the right mindset and backing can be running covert ops from clandestine government agencies... But you have seen what the Military Intelligence department of the country is.

That's why i declined two intelligence offers. Useless without the resources and puts you under scrutiny because you're in the system.
