My official scores are out, as expected I aced the AWA part, I got 4.5/6.0.

I just wish this Writing part can compensate for my Verbal shortfall, because I am actually good in writing.

Any score above 300 is good...just try mid tier schools like the ones in Tennessee...search for it under USA student visa page...I have forgotten the name...

I took the GRE today, and I was not impressed with my scores but I don't think I will retake it. I had 302- 155Q 147V.

ABOUT GMAT/ Most business schools, not just in the USA, but all over the world, require a student to have done the Graduate Management ission Test (GMAT) to be considered for ission to a postgraduate business istration course. ission to the best courses is typically limited to those who have the highest test scores. Even those institutes that do not require a GMAT score welcome them as an additional way of assessing students' eligibility and this often gives these students an edge over others.

The test is divided into 4 sections, each designed to evaluate a student's suitability for management studies.

A 75 minute Quantitative Section that comprises of 37 multiple choice questions.
A 30 minute Integrated Reasoning Section that comprises of 12 multiple choice questions. Most of these are multi-part and require a logical sequential response.
A 30 minute Analytical Writing Assessment Section that comprises of one essay based on a given topic with directions on how the essay is to be structured.
A 75 minute Verbal Section that comprises of 41 multiple choice questions.

Quantitative Reasoning: This section is designed to test students' ability to use quantitative reasoning. This is done using American high school level mathematics problems in arithmetic, geometry, algebra and data analysis.

The GRE is in some ways similar to other similar examinations. That does not mean that the preparations for them are the same.
